No sir - and we have tried more than I care to admit.

It's a freakin joke that Ubi/Nival releases a game that is "supposed" to support multiplayer and then they force you to go onto THEIR servers to play others (no direct connect is embarrassing). And worst of all the sync issues are an absolute nightmare - after an hour or two of playing we have ALWAYS experienced a one of the following problems:

1.) An opposing player's hero comes into view of another player and beats a neutral creature that they can both see, and it DOESN'T disappear like it should for non-fighting player. This "bugs" the neutral mob for good and ruins the game because the creature really shouldn't be there, but other players still see it.

2.) Two heroes are close to each other and do not see each other in the accurate places on the map (2-4 spaces away from real position, etc.) and then when one player fights the other, the game freezes up and everything is ruined.

3.) On a rare occasion when all players ARE in sync and a legitmate battle between heroes DOES start, it can't be finished because one player gets stuck in the tactics mode or on the first turn of the battle and can't move passed it - game ruined yet again.

4.) Random crashes when neutral creatures flee from battle OR a player uses newly purchased or upgraded creatures on the same day (buy or upgrade 10 archers and start a fight the same day) to get into a fight it crashes all the other players - although the recent 1.1 patch seems to have fixed this.

The bottom line is that this game has a LOT of potential for being a good multiplayer game, but it is completely broken at this point, and Ubi should be ashamed for releasing it in this state. Everyone who is asking me whether or not to get the game is getting a huge NO from me until they fix these multiplayer issues.

I would love somebody to post who has played a legitmate multiplayer game on Ubi.com through to the end with no problems...

I played a game for almost 4 hours (1v1) and then both of us decided to meet in the middle and battle it out, with the winner taking the game.

It just takes too damn long even when it does work. The maps force you into a game that take hours, they need to just downgrade most of the creatures on the map so they are ridiculously easy to kill and players can go battle other players and fight for land and can use multiple heroes to use different tactics. There is no danger early of a sneak attack because the entrances and exits are guarded by huge creatures, so players don't need to choose between a good defense/offense, they just build as fast as they can to get to the super units and then the game end in 2 or 3 battles.
