Okay, I personally like the VII's and the IX's but I have a question out there for all of you diehard XXI'ers (C'mon, you know who you are).
Awhile back, I seem to recall somebody in a FAQ or Daily Question asking about "CREEP MOTORS" on a Type XXI. Now, it was something to that effect and the Dev Team answered that these "CREEP MOTORS" would be modeled since the real Type XXI had them. I pose the question to you...WHAT ARE THESE MAGIC CREEP MOTORS? Are they some kind of special electric engine that was very quiet for silent runs? Anybody know?
Secondly, I also seem to remember reading about attack techniques of the Type XXI. I read that the sub's echo sonar was so advanced that the XXI could plot a solution on a surface ship from a depth of 150 meters and fire torpedos from such a depth, conviently positioned for the escape. Now, I wonder, is this possible to do in SH3, as I can't seem to open muzzle doors below periscope depth...Again, I am no XXI expert, but I need to learn as my campaign war is getting near the end....
