I read on Wikipedia, that AC3 will not star a pre-existing character......does that mean at the end of the credits that it really was maybe Desmond's son reliving his memories?

You need SPOILER TAGS!!!!!

Anyway, after the one guy says "I'm the expert here! Put him back in the machine!" (or whatever it was) You hear Desmond's voice (or if not Desmond, someone who has the exact same voice as him) weakly say "No..."

Besides from this which is true, you can't believe everything wikipedia says, specially if it's not sourced.

Just so you see what I mean, a while ago I saw a Football Match (Soccer for the U.S.) Arsenal - Celtic, so I googled Georgios Samaras (a Celtic player) and clicked wikipedia.
His biogrphy said he was Jesus and that he was the messiah who had come again to save us.

Admittedly he does look like Jesus:

But that just shows how unreliable wikipedia can be at times.

...All that means is Desmond will be using a different ancestor.

Most likely. I highly doubt they will get rid of the whole animus idea in AC3, even if it's the last game in the series.

Okay, but what do you mean "don't believe what wikipedia says"? That's right out of the credits, watch them yourself, you DO hear Desmond.
