As the thread title says, I'm having trouble installing Splinter Cell Double Agent on my PC. The game disc is a DVD, and when I first put it in my DVD drive the game splash screen comes up and a menu with several options such as install, manual, etc. appears. If I choose any of these options from the menu, an error window pops up with the title:
"Splinter Cell Double Agent: SCDAAutorun.exe- Bad Image"
The message contained in the window says:
"The application or DLL C:WINDOWS\system32\xinput1_1.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
So after that error message appears I clicked "OK" and then everything seems fine and the game appears to begin installing. However, after a little more time passes I get a second error window with the title "Feature Transfer Error". The message contained in this error window reads as follows:
Feature: Basic Installation- Low resolution textures only
Component: Files2
File: H:\Disk5\data6.cab
Error: When accessing a new tape of a multivolume partition, the current block size is incorrect.
After this message displays I click OK and then the Installation process completely ends and returns to my desktop. I have no idea what either of the error messages means or if they are related in any way. I have installed other PC-DVD games on this computer with no trouble. I would really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
