Anyways I liked call of duty2 why don't you buy that? Or King Kongs etc. Or maybe Aeon FLux. A friend of mine loves it. I heard it's very similar to PoP http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I forgot to mention that I only have a ps2 (xbox is my sister's). I already have the entire PoP trilogy too hehe. Oh yea!!! And i meant DMC3...not the first one....i'll fix that.

Get Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance or Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
For now, just buy MGS2, since MGS3 is a prequel and you'd probably not understand as much of the story. And MGS2 is so incredibly good. Just check out Gamespot's review. 96/100.
Their video review doesn't spoil anything about the story, other than where the first quarter is happening.
This is easily one of gamings most recognized games, and if you haven't tried it yet, you'll be in for one heck of a ride through this game. (Even though the game is from 2001/2001, the graphics litterally SLAUGHTER that of TTT)

The Jak & Daxter Trilogy.

And as for MGS3, wait for MGS3: Subsistence. Order it now and you should be able to get the 3 Disc Edition featuring a MGS3 movie made using Cutscenes from the game, and specially created Cutscenes depicting the Boss Fights and other Player Controlled Scenes.

Let me just add on to what Deus_Tempus said, if you decide to wait for MGS3: Subsistence, buy an internet adapter, it contains many multiplayer features not yet in a game which might prove to amaze you. But don't buy MGS3: Snake Eater now, since Subsistence is right around the corner, and has a new camera angle (fully controllable third person camera instead of the normal overhead view.) and adds many new features to the classic MGS3: Snake Eater experience.

Yup, and as I did, I noticed many similarities between it and the SoT Trilogy.

-The Young Hero in the first game.
-The Angsty Hero in the second game.
-The Hero who realises what it means to be a Hero in the Third game.
-The Young Hero unleashing the Great Evil on his World.
-The Evil Villain who just won't stay dead and upgrades himself from 'Gosh I really dislike that Hero' to 'UNLIMITED...POWER!!!'
-The Hero who had one chick liking him in one game, but was replaced with another chick liking him in another game which resulted in Fan Uproar causing the Hero to get together with the original chick again.
-The wise old man who raised the Hero and seems to know just a bit too much.
-The Hero's estrangement from his father
-The Dark Alter Ego
-The Goatee

King-Kong is quite a good game, but it's fairly short and the graphics arent 'top notch', although the gameplay is repetitive, the atmosphere and storyline make up for that and are very intense IMO. There are no on-screen items/HUD so you have to keep checking your ammo to see how much you have left. Great game IMO, but it's got nothing on PoP.
Also Shadow of the Colossus looks great.

I like really challenging games...that are extremely difficult to beat and very long lasting. And if it's not long lasting, i like it to have good replaying quality. It sucks cuz whenever i get a game, i beat it within two days of getting it lol (except for Star Ocean because that was a long rpg game and my favorite rpg ever!!!) It's also good if the game has a lot of action in it.

I'd also like to say thanks to all of you...and i really appreciate this. Honestly, i wasnt expecting this many replies hehe. i prefer the JAK trilogy over Rayman...but both are extremely awesome...and JAK can be slightly challenging at times soo you'll have fun with that

I remember back when me and my older sister were addicted to the series lol. It was way back before ps2 came out. It was the fourth Tomb Raider game that was the most challenging...I forgot what it was called though. Not Tomb Raider Chronicles. But yea...it took soooooooooo long to beat that game lol. And it was hard because if you missed a single important thing, you'd have to start far back into the game.

Tomb Raider 4, that would be "The Last Revelation", yes definitiely that was the hardest game in the bunch so far!! If you missed a key which you needed in a level far ahead you had to backtrack forever to get it! So it was a challenge indeed, the Cairo levels were a killer at times!! i myslef didnt like the first game that much...had to do a lot of collecting and stuff

but the story was good and believe me when you've played JAK 2 and JAK 3...you'll know its better than DMC 3

Not that i dont like DMC...i thought it was awesome...especcially the agni and rudra swords

but although some comments were funny and enjoyable some things were unneccesary

like remember the part where he has to put that energy orb thingy into a generator...when you get near to the generator he gets all funky and starts playing fancy football with the orb and goes "WOO HOO!!"

and then he kiks the orb into the generator

that was kinda weird

yeah DMC is pretty good...i found it kinda hard to pull off the specific moves i wanted to pull off

the buttons for those moves were pretty similar

and with Rebellion there was this one really annoying move that popped out of nowhere...un intentionally

but its great nonetheless

i think Ninja Gaiden the best....its not on PS2 sadly...it had something to do with graphical requirements i think

Lets see I have all three Castlevania games (Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissesence, which I just found out has 2 secret ending and Aria of Sorrow which I just found out had another secret ending I missed) I was pissed Dawn of Sorrow was only for the DS since Aria of Sorrow was my favorite castlevania game.

But I'm trying to get a PS3 which will be backwards compatibly with PSOne so I'd like to get Symphony of the Night which I've heard is the best Castlevania game.

Hey Ninja Gaiden Fans...how is that game. It looked ok but on a Gamespot forum a member said that PoP sucked compared to Ninja Gaiden. It got me really angry. Angry enough to decide not to get the game. I also heard it's hard...

man...he has this one move where he slashes across an enemy's body...then across the stomach...then he lands a bad-a-ss uppercut which launches the guy in the air

once in the air he slashes really fast at the guy...totally ravaging his body and then in the end

in grabs the guy and sorta hugs him tight and then goes higher and turns upside down...then spins...first really slow and then really fast

and BOOM the guy is pile-droven through the ground

and RYU lands on his feet all soft and light

he has all of the Prince's platforming tricks...but slightly more advanced...for example

u can jump onto a wall and wall run and the rebound and jumped off the wall DIAGONALLY toward another wall and wall run that and then you can do anything from anywhere

plus when you rebound upward between two walls...he does this really tyte back flip thing and rebounds toward the other wall...and then again from there on

its a little ahead of POP

Well first of all...it has combined all 3 Matrix movies into one game

sooo it covers the whole matrix story and the change of Neo from a loser person to the One

and it has all the famous platforming things...like wall running and stuff

and u definately like the gun fighting in DMC
sooo in this game its AWESOME

u do all kinds of crazy tricks in the air while throwing tons of bullets at the enemies
and u can rebound of walls while u have ur guns drawn so you can stay airborne and kill every single enemy without ever touching the ground

the kung-fu is briliiant...u can chain many attacks together...and all of them are super cool

punching a guy in the gut while he's in the air a million hundred times superfast and such are an example

also the moves like jumping onto a guys chest and then back flipping and kicking him hard under the chin so that they fly back real hard is a good way to chain kung fu with guns

like once he's in the air...u just draw your guns and start firing like mad at the guy who is slowly falling to the ground

or you cud jump into the air and grab him and slam him into a wall and back flip off the guy

and their different things...like flying the helicopter and stuff

and the grapples are awesome...some are really great to watch....with effects like slow motion and stuff

and like Ninja Gaiden...u can use weapons...and they have their own array of moves and grapples

overall its everything an action fan cud want

Is the Matrix worth the money though? How long is the game? I'm looking for games with good replaying quality and high difficulty. Whenever I buy a game, i finish it within two days of buying it. Now tell answer me this...will the game take at least a week to beat? Looking back through your posts, I've noticed you prefer long challenging games. In that case, I recommend Shadow Hearts & Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

Two Fantastic RPG's set before World War I (Shadow Hearts) and during (Shadow Hearts: Covenant).

The storyline delves into the realms of the occult, religion (Specifically Catholicism), Historical Events and Figures such as Gregori Rasputin, and much more.

It really is a game that no RPG Fan should be without.

Oh, and both games have Alternate Endings, so like WW, you'll need to try and get the correct ending that ties into the next game's storyline. And if you don't use a guide for it, that could also add to the replayability of the game.

and matrix isnt THAT long...it can easily be finsihed in 2 days...but the replay value is pretty good

whenever you're in the mood of beating up something with super-flashy moves...then load up a certain level of the game and start destroying the multitudes of baddies...ive been playing the same 3 levels over and over for the past week...even though i've finished the game

sooo its replay value is good

And believe me...the JAK trilogy will take you about at least 2 weeks

its pretty long and has excellent puzzles and suff....and its gameplay is excellent

if you want to you dont need to play JAK 1
thats not so good...unless your an Adventure fan

then it'll really hit the spot

but JAK 2 and JAK 3 are excellent!!

its like your playing POP but a cartoony version of it

they're guns and super awesome powers and moves and missions and its a reall good play

Actually, I'm just getting DMC3 for now. I mean think of it this way. It's not often that you get a $110 gift card to gamestop. If I get GoW and DMC3, i'll already have used up more than half of my money. I'm gonna wait till the price for GoW goes down...since it's still being sold for 50 bucks at gamestop. But if i find another good game...i'll probably get that with DMC3. Most likely, that'll be the Matrix since it's pretty and looks real cool. DMC3 on level easy is harder than PoP on level hard (for me at least). This might be because PoP is a real easy game to me...but either way, DMC3 is more difficult all around.

Well you said you were getting/got God of War right? Becuase i must say thats one of the best games out there. no matter how much i like POP i must say..its better. lol i know its only one game but there are talks about mroe games and possibly a movie?? but yeah, that game is a must buy.

yeah i heard good things from dmc, so its good that you got it. the matrix was fun at first but it got sort of repetitive, and it was reallly glitchy and also easy lol.

the game i heard the best reviews about are res4 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif everyone that has played it loved it, but apparently its a very challenging game so be careful.

i dunno what games you posted that you bought..i skipped most of the pages on this thread so yeah. if you want a racing game i suggest need for speed most wanted:thumb: really good

I was gonna get GoW...but decided to get it when the price went down since it's still being sold for 50 bucks here. The stupid thing is...i decided to get the Matrix instead...even though THAT'S 50 bucks as well...so i should have gotten GoW instead of that. I actually DID say i wouldnt get GoW. I said i'd wait till the price went down...but whether i said it or not, YOU gave me the matrix idea lol. I'm not saying it was a bad game though...it was good while it lasted.

I think Dante would win...but that's not the point hehe. DMC3 is far better and harder (to me) than the matrix.
