Recently, I was browsing the gamesindustry.biz site when I caught the FRD logo out of the corner of my eye. I replayed the shockwave file, and was terribly amused to see an animated Dr. Dave Doak asking me to touch his beard to find out more about working for FRD.

Unfortunately, as with most of the gaming populace, I have few actual programming or artistic skills to offer... only Ideas. (Not to mention that I live a fair distance from Great Britain.)

I am shamed that I am not worthy to touch Dave's Beard.

It's probably worth mentioning, we have some events happening in Nottingham tonight, which include an open audience with us, to pitch your game ideas, otherwise known as "The Free Radical Gong of Terror"

I particularly enjoyed the Guitar Hero match at the end.

Are FRD doing the same or similar thing at GameCity next year? If so then I will try to persuade my parents not to go on holiday over the October half term!

The event itself was held in a bar called "Kudos", so I imagine the age limit would be 18 and over.

We might not just do that next time; depends where we're at with our games. We'd've liked to have shown HAZE this year but it was just that little bit too early, unfortunately. Ah well, maybe next year you'll get a chance to see that Lucasarts project, eh?

Don't quote me on that though. I have absolutely no idea what we'll do at this stage.
