took place in my kitchen with my AirHog heli.

Normally, first day of the year brings what is commonly called "Frozen Finger Fun Fly". It's a tradition to try to be the first one to fly an RC plane on the first day of the year.

This year my first flight had to take place in my kitchen due to fog and rain. Warm (for us in the frozen north) at +8o C but with the frozen ground/snow melting and the warm air, fog is the natural result.

I got this cheap little well made beauty and just flew it yesterday.

Extremely easy to fly due to it's built in gyro and precision motors.

Frozen RC weather flying ? I don't suppose you have a few equipped with skis. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

To be quite honest, I hate flying with tears streaming down my face because I have to face the wind to see where my bird is. And having to fly with gloves on so I can feel my fingers while I move the sticks is not my idea of fun.

But yes, lots of folks use skiis and love it.

I'm not one of them.

You know, I just re-read that and it made me think of WW1 open cockpit flyers doing their job in the winter.

Except I don't have to contend with oil in the "slip stream" if I do it in the winter.
