new 1.5 crew abilities.. how are they earned?

So far I've seemed to get the theoratician ability the most, which is pretty neat because it boosts all the EXP for the crew and the renown gain for the captain at the end of patrol. I've got that one about 5 times now between 2 careers. (I wonder if they stack if you have it twice?)

It seems my german campaign gained them quite faster than my new american campaign, but playing as the americans again I have TMO loaded back on so my tonnage is much lower which could be the reason.

So what are you favorite abilities and have any of you figured out how they are earned?

Oh and all I have seen are passive powers, have any of you found the active abilities?

Hmm no idea. I saw some officers in the list back in base who have special abilities like "faster torpedo reload" etc.


I remember seeing personal files for the promised heroes in the screenshots but havent seen that in the game yet. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I havn't seen that either I waswondering about htat during my German career. I'm back to American boats though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
