Hi guys, in rsv we had the little tweak on the shortcut for the game that helped espechially for CTD's, im talking about adding "-norunaway" to the shortcut, figuring this is a unreal engine based game to would it have any affect adding it to the shortcut ? Or is'nt this a feature in the engine ?

It's worth checking out tough, I always use it when playing a game based on the unreal engine(s) even now, I have newer had any CTD's but I have no idea if this actually helps.. Anyone know ?

I know theres no real console commands for this game, but adding it into the launch of the game could possibly make a difference ?

there are some U commands that do work. When lighting up a server for LAN, I use -nosound.

There is alot of info here that might help us out.

Im using a few UT2004 and AA tweaks to the inis to get better performance.

Nice, thanks for sharing...

Maby we could try and suggest the -norunaway to those people who are experincing CTD's, I'm thinking espechially since it made such a difference for some in RVS. . even tough the engine is updated it's still basicly the same one ?

I'll give it a try tonight if we play Vegas, if I remember the issue with RvS that it fixed correctly, it probably won't solve the Vegas crashes. (As I remember RvS would crash to desktop right after you started the game, Vegas does it at random intervals)

O wow..
Try using these..
-nosound -norunaway

See how much more fluid the game is.
Alot of the games problems migh be from Dare audio.

If anyone can get a list of all of the commands from any Unreal engine, plz post them.

Wouldent -nosound make the game play without sound?

Well it does. Dont use it to play, just use it to check out the improvement. then take it off!

Since the game doesnt include a textserver onption for LAN, I have a second icon on my desktop that has -nosound included. you can do this for any dedicated server as they dont need sound at all.

Note
-safe and -nosfx dont seem to do anything.

-norunaway = -nostopcrash

2hours in, CTD in the Calypso. I also tried removing the 'crashiest' maps. Dam and Research Lab, but as you can see, it crashed in Calypso (last map of the cycle)

I suggest putting all Option settings to lowest as a test to see if it helps?.

Mine or Mid- to High and I rarely get CTD's

Just a thought if you want to play in a painfull way.

I think it has something to do with performance.
