Hello,

Maybe a stupid question but in the next picture u clearly can see the sun comming "through"(i dont know if i said that word right)the clouds.
So if you go straight up from that point would you be in nice weather afther some hights or you still in the grey clouds.
I know in real life it is,but will this be also in the game, because that will be awsome to take of in bad weather and at some hights you in nice weather.(amazing in game)

I recall reading a few posts which mention the clear sky above the overcast cloud base. This was also modeled in a few sims of the past. It's gonna be a very cool sim indeed!
None of the previous Sims I played though had that kind of sun ray effect shining down from the heavens.. These guys are to be commended for the amount of work and attention to detail they have put into this Sim!

When I played it at E3, that effect of the sun coming thru the clouds is 3D too not just a texture effect, its stunning, and of course you can fly above the cloud layer

This feature already exists in flanker 2.0. Once over the cloudcast level, the sky is blue (though a little hazy).

There is some videos available out there (not at this site) that show some really great in-game footage of the F-15 flying below and above a thick cloud layer. It actually shows the plane flying below the cloud layer at first, then he goes through the cloud layer, and then he flies very high above it with the white fluffly clouds below him with the sun shining brightly upon them (this was probably demonstrating the F-15's ability to accelerate going straight up).

Anyway, the scenes were taking at a computer game expo in Europe somewhere. I wish I could give you the link to them, but I have no idea what it is. Somebody will probably know. Be aware that this footage is probably very pre-alpha (over a year old probably), but they look very nice indeed.

Of course, when that happens the Brocken Spectre (or "Glory")will have to be included.

THanks fellas, I'm using it as my desktop too /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I didn't see the info bar until too late, I'll do some more tommorow from the screens and either erase the info bar or make it sharp.
