Hi guys I am really new and I was downloading some of your brilliant skins when I came across the pilot folder. I noticed that the faces seem to be real people...am I being stupid or does that mean there i a way of putting your face as a pilots face in this sim ?????

Ok I downloaded the file and unzipped the folder and I got a cover pic...an ackknowledgement txt and 1 template...is that what I was supposed to get or is there a template for each country. Also please bear in mind that I only bought a computor because my friend said his kept going down on him. I know as much about computors as I do about flying ...so is there an explanation sheet explaining how I get my mugshot on the template and what size/ format it has to be ???? thanks Jim.

No, I'm afraid it's not. Here's how it goes:
The pilot skin is simply a graphic file that covers the pilot. Find an appropriate picture of your face and size it so that you can copy it into the face-part of the pilot's skin. It should match the faces FBS has put there in size.
Now, you choose what uniform you want. This you do by turning the various layers on or off. Finally, make a copy of the file and flatten the image. You should now have a single layer image with your face and appropriate uniform. Save file as bitmap (.bmp)
The image should be in 8-bit index colour. In Photoshop this is done under Image->mode->Index colour and Image->mode->8-bits/Channel. There's a very handy little program called Bright that will do this for you.
After that is done, you name the file (for instance "My_face.bmp", and put it in the Pilot skin folder. When flying, you can select pilot skin the same way you select aeroplane skin.

Does anyone have the Paint shop pro version of shooters pilot template, I cannot seem to find it on Flying legends and the one on M4T is the adobe photshop version, and I cannot open that with paint shop pro.
Thanks

Try using Gimp. It's free, and pretty much does it all.
