I remember loving the first game when it came out for the PC all those years ago...it was a game for adults who were willing to sit down and plan out the whole mission before you even deployed and started the mission. I loved planning out all the entry points for my elements and I loved the heartbeat sensor and gadgets like that.

Then I played R63 for the Xbox...I was so angry because the game that once took more time to plan than to actually play became a typical shooter...I really don't care what all of you fan boys think...R63 was really really simplified.

Lockdown is the same old letdown...R63 was bad and this one seems to try to hard to fix it...The graphics are a step above R63 and that is a welcome change...I know that some of you gripe...but I would rather textures that are not a mess and models that have detail.
The gameplay is pretty fast paced but that is fine...even the first R6 could be played run and gun...it just depends on the type of player you are.
The weapons list is what gets me...why the **** did they get rid of the MP5SD5?...that is almost the signature weapon of R6 from the beginning!
I think the game is decent when you compare it to most out there right now...but the bugs really hurt it...but complaing to the staff wont do anything but make them bitter and hostile to us...we should support them and get our act together...they made the game for us and they did not have to.

I love the game...it is not as good as the first two...but they are after a different market now so whatever...

Some of the weapon choices were really unusual, yeah.

The absence of heavy weapons such as an M60E3 is also an unusual omission.

Inclusion of the MP5SD in the original R6 on the PC was probably more of a nod to the S.A.S. than faithfulness to the book. They used the MP5/10 in the book, if I remember correctly.

And you've got CT operatives these days saying stuff like "We'd never use something in 9mm." The emphasis seems to now be on harder-hitting rounds and deep ballistic penetration of the targets. Swift movement and overwhelming firepower seems to be the order of the day, compared to stealth and finesse.

I dont understand why its bashed so much, give it some time to get used to it. Ive had it for one day and already like it, its an upgrade from Black Arrow imo....its a good game.
