Characters

Will any other characters be playable during the story. Or is it just in V.S mode?

your lucky im on the forums every day or you will never get a response seeing how this forum is seriously lacking in members, unfortunatly i dont know the anser to the question but heres my take on it. The game covers the first 80 episodes of the animated series Naruto. So your basically playing Story Mode, and how many games can you count that lets you play as more than 1 character in a story? very few. Also the first 80 episodes were really all about Naruto trying to become Hokage. It isnt really based on other characters very much besides the Sakura x Sasuke couple, which doesnt happen since Sasuke (hope im spelling it right) turned completely emo and betrayed all his freinds to seek help from the main enemy Orochimaru. Also its called NARUTO for a reason, so my guess is in story mode (campaign watever) you can only play as Naruto, in VS mode you can play as multiple characters becasue there is no story to do just random fights. If you were able to pick different characters in Story Mode the game waould take forever to come out, becasue there are no background stories or anything much about the characters in the first 80 episodes, becasue of this i cannot play as the greatest naruto caracter of all time. Hopefully we will be able to play as other characters because the chunin exams would be aswsome. The forrest of death part of it is great because all of the ninjas are in the same place. You could play as Naruto with Sakura and Saskue following and try to avoid certain ninjas and get the scrolls. And then there are the fights, it would be great to play the Rock Lee V.S Gaara fight.

I want to fight Naruto vs Gaara (big version) as in The Giant Frog, and the Awoken Gaara. I think that was in the first 80. or i maybe mistaken. And to bad we dont get to relive episode 101. that one was the funniest of all. It was the episode were they wanted to see Kakashi true face.

you actually played the other Nalutoz lol, the only time I played one of them was at Future Shop playing the demo. It was kind of dumb.

the gamecube fighting games were alright to play with friends. But yeah it wasn't all that great.

Seein as it's only goin to to around episode 80 there limited on who they can use but the people who are probably playable are: Sasuke(of course he'll be in), Rock Lee, Kakashi, Zabuza, Haku, Neji, Kiba, Shikamaru, Garaa, Orichimaru, 3rd Hokage, Abumi Zaku, Dosu Kinuta, Kin Tsuchi, and Sakura(even though she was worthless in those episodes)

Those that played a main role and fought will most likley be playable. My guesses are(i'll name 10 since they've mention 10): Naruto, Neji, Sasuke, Lee, Zabuza, Kakashi, Garaa, Orichimaru, 3rd, and Haku.

I hope that if they do go forward with the arcade style fighting they make it massive areans and like at least 4 way fights. With a good selcetion of characters (more then 10 at least)

You'll play as Naruto through the story of the first 80 episodes and you'll be able to play other main characters in the VS battle - Kakashi, Neji, Sasuke, Sakura, etc.

OK thats really cool. Are you guys gonna do more then 10 characters though cause in the first 80 episodes there are alot of important charcters and it would be really sad if they didn't make the cut into the game.

^ well they said some will be downloadable in an interview, but most likely it will pass 10, but if not then we can download more(i wouldnt complain)...as long as rock lee, neji, kakashi, sasuke, shikimaru, and (byakuya j/k) zabuza are in ill be happy(so far ive seen most of them in the videos http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ).

ya but for the fightin i really hope that they consider the idea that i posted in the facts and featuretts section. like if it is more then 2 people fightin then it changes to a first person style where theres a ton of hidin and alot of weapon use. fightin kinda like the forset of deathin the chuin exams. lots of tricks and traps.

Ehh...that whole fable idea is alright but look how uzumaki chronicles tunred out...horrible, go play that and then either enjoy it and play the second one, or give up on the idea of that idea. I just dont think that is how it should be played. I really like the whole arcade style fighting, but If they made it maybe like tenchu, but much better and with clones/traps it may be alright.

Yeh he was. He basically taught Naruto how to control the Nine Tail's chakra.

he is in the first 80 episodes. he gave naruto the toad summon ability that he used against gaara.

the following chars have a strong chance of getting in 1st 2nd and 3rd hokages, jaraiya, orochimaru, rock lee, sound genin (dosu and all),temari, kankuro, chouji shikamaru ino shino hinata tenten gai kurenai asuma kabuto anko baki I know this because these chars all appear from the beginning to the 80th ep (which is the 3rd hokages funeral)

and the following chars are definetley in naruto sasukr sakura neji gaara kiba zabbuza kakashi

i'm not sayin that there in or i think they're in im just sayin that all of them have a strong possibility of bieng in but nowhere near all of them will be in im just sayin that there is a chance cause they all appear from 1-80 episode wise

What???? I think you are wrong because I know that they will be in it. My friend said that you just have to unlock them!!!!! To unlock Shino you have to go to the forest of death and beat the giant bug but I haven't got there though, still stuck on Haku... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif
