Buying SC without Ironside

To me Ironside is the voice of Sam. No other could be his voice. But at the same time if UBI decided to create a new character with someone else doing the voice, I probably wouldn't have a problem with it.

I won't buy Conviction in general because it
contains to much changes. Changes that affect
gameplay, atmosphere, storyline and the
splintercell'ishness of this series.
A change in the voice of the main character
himself would only suck.

I would absolutely not buy another SC game without Sam or Ironside, unless the new character that they propose is acceptable. But if they dont, I wouldnt feel bad at all getting away from this series, there are other games out there...I am well rounded.

God, I'd wish there was such a game right now. I know that Vampire Rain game visually looks like a copycat from SC, but the quality seems to be lacking and vampires.... maybe that's just a bit silly. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the most probable stealth King to me now.

Sam is Ironside. Ironside is Sam. There can't be one without the other.

Depends on who the replacement is, and why they chose to remove Sam. I don't see any reason to remove Sam. He is the heart and the soul of Splinter Cell.

No, Ironside is Sam. No way could I believe it's Sam Fisher without Ironside. He's part of the things that are needed make up the game.

Hell no. Splinter Cell, unlike what some people seem to believe, is the franchise about Sam. Just 'cos he's not technically an agent now, doesn't mean the series needs a new title. Hopefully he'll be back as a spy in SC6. Sam needs to be in; Ironside needs to be in. Those two are required for a game to be called "SC".

Nope. Without Sam it's not SC. And Ironside voicing another character isn't right. It'd feel ripped off.

Yes! Bring it back! Montreal, you've had you're fun with Jason Bourne gameplay, unhook yourselves from your Assassin's Creed fever and get to work with light and shadow. I can't see what was wrong with Sam being partially a fugitive, but still having Third Echelon contacts who give you equipment and you still do light/shadow gameplay.

I play Splinter Cell to be a Splinter Cell, not to be Sam Fisher. I like the character. But Splinter Cell isn't about Sam Fisher for me. It's about being a Splinter Cell. That's one reason why I really didn't like Double Agent.

For me, Sam Fisher IS what makes Splinter Cell. So I can't see a Splinter Cell game without him at all. I mean, if they made another Splinter Cell game (for the last question) without Sam Fisher, well it isn't really a SC game to me.

Sam Fisher was the first one to be a SC and he is what makes a SC, no one else. But this is to me, lol. XD
