We are loyal fans of the game who frequent these boards. I love the game despite others complaints about the glitches and bugs. Matter of factly this is the most fun I have ever had playing a game.

But I think that what all of us that are a little frustrated want is for you to throw us a bone.

We are anxiously awaiting the DLC and I will probably take a day off work when it comes out just so I can drown myself in it. It is kinda like a kid on christmas eve he just can't wait to open up his presents.

You were completely right closing the thread. If you leave it open next thing you know every other gaming forum is reporting the DLC has been delayed and the the UBI phones are ringing off the hook.

As loyal fans though don't you believe we should get a little information. The only thing we have is a press release from 6 weeks ago. If you cant tell us a definate date drop some hints.

I agree we need information and it should be given to us as paying customers, Ubi treat us like it's none of our business or like we're requesting info that we shouldn't be asking for...or threaten to ban people for expressing their opinion as to why they believe that issues are not being resolved or DLC being delayed...how dare we ask for information on future productsfixes/DLC that we will be paying for!!!!!!

I find it ridiculous bordering insulting when Goliath (in particular) closed a previous thread because somebody DARED to form an opinion...freedom of speech anyone? then you've come to the wrong place I'm afraid

As far as the bone sure that would end some speculation. But as far as free speach goes they have let me rant about a subject they don't want ranted on for sometime now. And it wasn't an opinion formulated it was a rumor being started. I agree with him closing the thread. Anyone who starts off with "I heard from a reliable source but I can't say who it is" is just trying to start sh*t.

Don't assume that because they haven't said anything to you yet, that it means they follow the idea of free speech. Goliath has stated on many times that Free Speech does not mean anything in here and it is his house, his rules.

Not trying to flame you or Goliath, just wanted to clarify that Free Speech means nothing on here. This fact has been made thoroughly clear by the Devs and Mods, both directly with words and through their actions. Thanks.

The simple fact is that you and I both agreed in the TOE that we were under certain guidelines when we post here. Goliath is one of the people who controls the content and has the ability to lock threads. Whether you like it or not, he has the power to do what he wants on here. If you are going to post here, then you need to accept that, whether you like it or not. Thanks.

I would think they wouldn't want to release information until they know what and when they are going to be able to release it.

How mad would the users be if when a developer was creating an expansion and that was the assumption for 2-3 weeks/months and then they came back and said "Oh, we're not including this now" or something like that.

Think of the Xbox game "Fable". The lead designer was painting this game like it was going to best game ever with unlimited choices and decisions AND online. We all know what rolled off the production line. And while I think it was a great game...the expectations were so high that it disappointed a lot of people.

I think it's futile to make threats on boards and petitions. The bottom line is the game sells, alot....mostly to the people who post such winning topics as "PLAYSTATION 3 FTW!!! SUXORS!!!!!!!!"

While most gamers aren't that mindless...the sad thing is that even those that get pissed at a game series, will end up buying it anyway. Those that bawk at DLC price will most like buy it anyway unless it is way out of whack...but put a map pack for 5 to 10 bucks and the majority of people will buy it.

The bottom line: let your money do the talking.

Actually they have already given us a timeframe on the DLC in their official release regarding the Red Pack. So the idea of CYA, by not giving us any information, doesn't exactly fit here. Ubisoft has been mum about everything regarding Rainbow Six Vegas, be it Patches or DLC. For a company that hails it's products brilliance, I have been astounded at it's silence regarding items that would be deemed a good thing, such as DLC. Anyways, the end of March is coming fast, we will see if they keep their own timeframe. Thanks.

Besides, what did they tell us before the patch arrived?

Nothing. It suddenly appeared one day out of nowhere. So, what was the reasoning behind that? Setting customer expectations? No - the patch had to have been in Cert as MS for at least a few weeks.

It's plain and simply poor customer service.

I'm not expecting any DLC until MS runs their maintence on Tuesday.

You can say whatever you want as long as it's not against the rules. Noone has ever been banned for having negative feedback on the game.

If you start trolling or violate the rules though, theres no free speech argument that is going to prevail here.

Heck the rules are not that bad, be mature , dont start **** up and respect the wishes of Ubisoft that some subjects are dead horses.

I mean it's not that bad really.

Well then allow me to take this opportunity to say how simply appalling it is that a company the size of Ubisoft can't have a single informed individual who can monitor these boards and interact with its customers.

As it is now, when downloadable content is released or a new patch made available it's sprung on us in much the same manner as the terrorists spawn in Vegas TH: out of nowhere and unannounced.

I understand setting client expectations. If my clients were to ask me about bug fixes only to be told "Well I don't know what we're fixing, if anything", "It'll be done when it's done", or worst of all "I know, but I won't tell you" they'd be livid. If I completely ignored them the way that's done around here most of the time, I'd be fired.

Here's what we want: We want to know that as customers we haven't been tricked. We want to know that the product which we purchased in good faith is being supported by it's publisher. We want to know that we're being heard when we have issues with your product.

What we don't want is for you to say "We haven't tricked you, we support our products, and we're listening to your concerns". Sorry, but the proof is in the pudding - and at this point you guys would need to bring Bill Cosby out of retirement.

Yeah, I could probably use some pudding too.

Although that new "ready to spread" cheesecake filling by Philadelphia looks pretty good. With some graham crackers. And strawberries.

I don't think I stated anything was bad. I was only regurgitating what you have posted in reply to me specifically during my time on these boards. You stated to me that "Freedom of Speech" means nothing here and that this was your house and your rules. I have lived with those rules, I just wanted to make sure that others understood them as well. I didn't want anyone starting a fight over Freedom of Speech thinking it was a valid arguement in the eyes of those who run this forum. Thanks.

If Ubi, or the Dev's want us to stop asking about it...
a time / Date is All we Need...

or even, just a note to say it has bene passed onto Microsoft for certification.

banning potential "customers" is deffinatly not the way to go.
If ubi's customer service was as good as there games we'd possibly all be praising this great title that little bit more.
