Purpose of the Flags

Hi,

I was wondering what is the purpose of the getting all the flags and killing all the templars. I'm wondering because I took the time to get all the flags, kill all templars, and get all view points in the kingdom, and there doesn't seem to be any use or give me anything special (except achievements, which I'm not concerned about). I was under the impression it would unlock an additional memory you could play that tells more of the story. Well, I know I'm wrong. Can anyone tell me if theres any relevance to finding all this ****? Cuz I really feel like I wasted 30 hours of my life searching for this junk.

Sorry to say but they are just there for replay value. Well if you find all of a given flag it will add to your Sync bar, granted by the time you do so it will be fully upgraded anyway!
