AC2 UPlay Problem (Xbox 360)

Can anybody help me with getting my console to log into UPlay from my AC2 disc? It will not allow me to log in and redeem my points.

Backstory:
I don't have broadband internet connection at my house. I beat AC2 and received the Uplay points while offline. Fast forward to now: my friend has broadband at his house and I bring my xbox console over to update all of my games. I try to log in to Uplay from my AC2 disc and I get an error every time. It doesn't do it in Brohood or Revelations. I would really like to redeem my points but I have no idea how, if it will not log in properly.

So I've been looking around the internet, and I've mostly come across the same answer at every site I visited.

Uplay has been down on AC2 for a year (or more), and Ubisoft has done nothing to rectify the problem. They have completely ignored the issue for as long as it's been an issue.

Not cool, dudes. Not cool.
