Okay, my recent induction into a union (plus me saving for a phat *** manhattan appartment) has left me rather picky as to where every cent goes these days. I'm limiting myself to 1 game every few months. The last one was xmen. So I can only get one of the two games listed in this topic. Do I get UC2 or SCCT? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gifHELP!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

...

well, to me there's no comparison. I've spent more time playing SCCT than anything else since it came out. I hear that UC2 is a very solid game, but right now I'm too addicted to SCCT to even think about picking it up.

I'm an admitted SC fangirl though. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I even have a SCCT hoodie that I wear specifically to play so I feel sneaky.

With your skills the Hoodie is a nice added touch. Very cute... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Oh and Dan,
I would say go with SC:CT for now (3 in 1 = Lots of fun). I picked up UC2 last night but, I haven't even played it yet. What can I say SC and Halo 2 are getting in the way. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gifMind you I'd pick up UC2 next month because, it is a very solid game.

Anyways I have both games and I also spend a lot more time with Splinter Cell than Unreal but both are fantastic games. As everyone has stated you get a lot more for your money with Chaos Theory because of all the different modes but from a strictly multiplayer standpoint Unreal is a much easier game to pick up quickly and get used to especially if you are familiar with the Unreal franchise. Chaos Theory I feel has the more rewarding multiplayer experience but comes with the price of a rather steep learning curve as far as online multiplayer games go. Once you get good at it though it's a blast to play especially with a good friend.

I suppose Dan if I were in your situation it would be up to which game I have preferred in the past. If the first two Splinter Cell games were more your speed go that route and if Unreal has been your game of choice in the past go that route. You will not be disappointed either way but you definately need both games at some point. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Hey Dan,

If you pick up Chaos Theory. I have one great thing you should always remember. Make sure to pick the correct equipment for the job.

Last night I did some death match and well... kinda sorta took the wrong stuff for the job...

I bet the two people I was gaming with got a good laugh out of it (you know who you are http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif)... But I must go now... 3 hours sleep and I'm at work now (gaming till 4 am hurts)... urgh... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

You cant compare these games, they are 2 different genres and 2 completly different gameplays. One fast paced and hectic, the other slow and stealthy. Frankly, you can't compare SC to any game cause there is nothing like it out there. You either like it or u dont! As far as UC goes, a fun game to play but I had some problems in that it switches to 4rd person view for melees. I prefer 1st person and dont want anything to be in 3rd. I wish it was more like the first game, but that is how it is with every game that has a sequal (except SCCT lol). If you like both franchises you will like both games however.

I thought the 3rd person view was great for melee combat. But compared to the rest of the Unreal franchise this is one to get used too. I even kinda like it for some weapons. It's really there to help you get through the environments easier. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oh and Dan... You may want to rent these games or borrow them off a friend. That may help make your decision easier. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
