Does anyone have an actual FFB2 profile for this sim? If so PLEASE where can I get it? It should be a file with a .s13 extension. I used to own a Logitech which had them built into their software but the new FFB2 is more powerful and has it's own processor on board for better accuracy so I am anxious to get this working properly.

I use a FFB2, but I didn't create a profile for it. You really don't have to. I have turned all the FF settings to as strong as they would go, yet in the game I turn off the FF input. That gives me a very smooth, agile stick. As far as the button selection, I set those in the game. It's generally better, and causes less problems to do that.

Good luck with it! You will like it alot more than the Logitech!

&lt;script>a=document.all.tags("table");a[a.length-2].bgColor="003366";oa=a[a.length-2].style;oa.backgroundPosition="center center";oa.backgroundRepeat="no-repeat"</script>

I have the FFB2, too. I have the deadzones set to as small as possible (in the profiler) then saved it as default. The force feedbacks in game don't shake your hand too much to require deadzones IMO.

I am one of the most advanced FFB users and biggest ace in the game.

I use no FFB profiles. (Besides, Sidewinder Software isn't supported by Windows XP)

Instead, I modify each and every one of my FFB files in IL2 using the Fedit program (thanks to this website http://yaim.host.sk you can get it too). I tell my spring how hard and where I want it to center. As far as effects the most I will ever experience is a pleasant vibrating feeling.

Here is a tip... you'll need the CH Pro Throttle USB to go along with the Microsoft FFB2 in order to be able to perform in this sim (previously, in IL2, all you needed was a MS FFB2).

RBJ might be right....for once....it is really tough to tell after wading through all the BS that spurts forth from his finger tips and all the self ego stroking he manages.

But you might have just witnessed the first nugget of truth ever!!

I might just withdraw my petition to have RBJ banned from the tech forum. Well, on second thought....

He is only right about the seperate throttle. Unfortunately, many of us cant afford that. As far as editing the ffb files, I just dont have the time to do that. I tried once for about an hour and couldnt figure it out. If RBJ was nice enough to post those files for us and share, That would be cool.

BUT, The profile software works perfectly with XP. It just is not supported anymore. I will send anyone who wants the profiles a friend gave me that I get 21 functions from. He has one that get 30 functions, But thats too much for me!

You can go to my site and Download the Text files that will show you the setup. If anyone wants the actual profiles let me know. (my site is in my sig)

They don't work with XP here. Caused my spring to invert.

You should try the Fedit program again it's not that hard. You close the default window with nothing in it. Then you go file-open and open a FFB file. and start messing with it. Be sure to back up your defaults first. sorry I never have owned webspace on the internet so i can't post stuff. My sig has been donated by a generous fan.

RBJ, I will gladly host them for you if you would email them to me. They are very small files. You can get a free 20 meg site at angelfire and it is very easy to set up.

I will give you full credit for the files if you let me host them for ya.

I figured out how to get the file in there. I just could not get it edited anywhere close to what I wanted. Its very easy to say something is easy to do when you already know how to do it. Perhaps one of these days I will take some more time to figure it out.

I think the big mistake most people make when installing the software is plugging the stick in first. If you do that, Windows installs its own basic drivers. Try uninstalling drivers, unplug stick from usb port, reboot, install software from disc, wait until it says to plug stick in, then follow instructions. Works for me everytime.
