mission firestorm

after protecting the parlament and recon
the mission is protecting the fire in warehouses until controlling it
i always lose it just before the end of the attack wave
do i need to do anything to help with the fire?
does anyone have a tip for me?

If its the mission I'm thinking of, which this one was a real pain, you have to shoot down the bombers as fast as possible. Using war speed constantly is almost a must on this mission, again if this is the one I'm thinking of.

Shoot them down as fast as possible is an understatement, try faster than humanly possible!

Download a saved file from http://www.mediafire.com/?zki2zvkvzjh and use Me-262 Ace to play the mission again!

try using the hurricane, lots of firepower. try coming in to a formation from the side, start at last plane on the wing and work our way up. should be able to take 10-12 bombers in a strafing run.in a fighter melee warp out reduce power quick turn in using target camera. should be to get 3-4 fighters in a run. soon as see that red dot blast them.

i dont know man, I guess I could try a better plane, but about the 12 bomber thing? I am onrookie and it gives me about 4 at a time, and I get them all, war(p) speed it over to the next targets, but, alas....fail, I am always afraid about taking other routes than head on, cuz if we are battling cpu set time limits???? If you waste any time it kicks into fail. I go head in kill 1 bomber, bank at no speed hit the rest from behind quick-like, but nothing, after you play this mission about 10 times it becomes lame and with no checkpoints you have to do the first few fighter "parts" over and over, i am about done...maybe one more try tomarrow if I dont get it then back to the back of the game stack...

do the first mission on pilot (make sure you do the bonus objective other wise you dont get the plane) which is hurricane b, i think it has rockets and way better stats wich makes it real easy to take down bombers

I can't figure out how to use the secondary weapons. I would love to use the rockets or cannon, but I do not know how! Which plane has the secondary weapons?

I have flown this mission no less than 50 times and I can not beat this level. It is extremely frustrating. Also, when you quit the game, you have to start from the very front of the mission. I think this is ridiculous. The game should save at least a portion of the mission that is completed so you don't have to start all over each time.

yea im trying to do this mission on ace but for you guys playing on rookie do the first missions on pilot. also try Defence of the realm on pilot and get hurricane id C. I think it has rockets il go check later but its C on your keyboard (PC) and X for (XBOX) to switch to rockets. (this only will works if the plane is equiped with rockets Obviosly) but attack bombers head on and try to get an ace kill ( go for the one shot kill of the pilot if you can)and then go on the sides and shoot there sides. but if your playing on rookie you probably can go and shoot from behind them cause you have a lot of health on rookie. when i first got this game it made me realy mad this mission but i did it and the rest of the campaign is real fun. but i need to stress do some of the earlier missions on pilot to get better planes...(AND MAKE SURE YOU DO THE BONUS OBJECTIVES OTHERWISE IT DOSENT COUNT) and it will give you a break from this dumb mission. im pretty sure the hurricane has rockets. THe earlier missions on ace are easier then fire storm on rookie.

Good tips on Firestorm - I will attempt using the Hurricane. I have been on Rookie throughout - so - to obtain a better equipped Hurricane at the first mission via PILOT or ACE, does that mean I have to go through the game all over again? OR - since I have gotten past those missions, I can hop right back to Firestorm without having to play the whole game again after completing the first mission on PILOT or ACE? I don't want to ever again deal with those mines. Thanks -

no all of your progress is saved and once youve done the mission before. You can do it whenever, on any difficulty using any planes(allies or german planes)if you wanted to do a certain mission on ace you can do it whenever (you dont have to do the missions in order unless youve never completed the mission on any difficulty)

so once your done the campaign you can do any missions on any difficulty

Thanks - that spares me some worry when I attempt to play again. Quick question - do you get a better equipped Hurricane after Mission #1 on PILOT or ACE then the stock one the game gives you?

mission 1 on pilot gives you the best hurricane and on ace it gives you the yak wich is a realy crap russian plane.

I just played Mission 1 (phoney war) on PILOT - knocked out the first 109 on Ace Kill, then the rest regular kill(without acekill) - it showed I failed the objective by not killing them via acekill. And I didn't get a beefed up Hurricane. So - I guess I have to fly it again on PILOT and kill the 109's using ACEKILL? Maybe that's how I'll figure out how to use ACEKILL. Sorry to be a pain in the rear - I just want to get a good Hurricane to have a better chance at FIRESTORM. Thanks EKI

Got it! Rec'd my Hurricane Mk II C and will pray that it helps me get through FIRESTORM. Each time in FIRESTORM, I get to the last wave of bombers (I think), and then I'm toast. Tally Ho.

Beat FIRESTORM - finally. That Mk. II C with those 40mm cannons just shreds the Luftwaffe! Thanks for the tips.

oh my god!! that level is easy, i beat it tons of times on ace even! (try using a logitec wingman strikeforce joystick it helps a ton)
