I was in sector AF-12 and i tried to sink Fiji light cruiser with two class c destroyers with 3 stern torp moving fast, but she managed to criss cross that path escaping fast... I followed them and soon they disappeared from my view. I continued the hunt surfaced 18 knots for about 5 miles toward their last known point...
And what do I see? Alone Fiji BEHIND my u-boat 3000 m away...
I waited at his moving course, closing 340 m, and fired 2 torp fast. I put Fiji down to bottom and continued to my base, but in my captain log there were nothing listed about that cruiser (about 10000 tons)... Btw. I sank 4 destroyers and 2 tankers with 6 merchant ships...
Flying Dutchman I guess... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I had a similar experience with a Southhampton Class cruiser.

I had just started up the game from a previous save, when I came across a small task force . I torpedoed and sunk the cruiser, and then evaded the escorts: ....only after that did I notice that there was no wreck marker on the map, and no entry in the log for the sinking.

This irritated me so much that I went back and restarted from the "save", to take another crack at it: .......I sank that damn cruiser FOUR times, and never got credit for it.

I guess there are some ships that you are destined not to receive credit for! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

I had that happen with a passenger liner once http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif However, Mr. Wilhelm believed that i sank it because of screenshots i took, and for that I am grateful. But yeah, it is really annoying. It happened to me on other occasions also, mostly with C3's
