Being the Tomb Raider freak that I am, this trailer was something I've been waiting to see for quite some time now, well ever since they announced that a seventh one was being made which is quite a while ago now.

mmmhhh... I remember when Tom Raider first came out for PS. Back then it was so much fun... but then it got too much hype for it's own good. Eventually I came to just hate the fact one after another Tomb Raider games were being anounced with the promise of better game play, just to give us some better rendered boobs.
So I'm not holding my breath for this one until the reviews roll in...

Oh my goodness! This is class! I thought it would be rubbish like Angel of Darkness but man it looks class! Its cool how Lara kicks that dude then shoots the heck out of him with her pistols when he is in mid air. I wonder if there still gonna be calles Vector R35's?

WOW!Just Watched the Trailer.Fianlly Eidos Make me happy.The game looks good.It seems that plenty of new features have been implemented in the game.One Move of Prince has been copied by Eidos.(Jumping from wall to wall).Anywayz,Now we have a healthy competition.

Oh well... here's my theory on the Tomb Raider series.

When the very first game was released, it was the best action-adventure game out there. Then Tomb Raider 2 is what practically made Tomb Raider famous... I think its the best Tomb Raider ive played. Tomb Raider 3 was a disappointment for me... somehow i didnt like it very much. Then Tomb Raider 4's amazing egyption scenery really fascinated me.... but that was it.

From Tomb Raider Chronicles onwards, I was starting to realise how Eidos were just crazy releasing one Tomb Raider after another, each one of them pretty much the same, except for a little bit of graphical improvements on each one released. Up till Tomb Raider 4, I was a huge fan. But then things started getting boring. There were simply too much Tomb Raider games being released like mad, and all pretty much the same. So I literally "divorced" the series and I got tired of it... it was getting very monotonous on me.

Then Angel of Darkness really sealed up my lack of interest in the series, with such a crappy bugged release. It was glitchy, it was boring, it was simply doing nothing for me anymore.

Now im really not so excited about Tomb Raider Legends at all.... I mean why are they still going on with this series ? Havent they realised that the series is being ignored ? Half of the fans of Tomb Raider (such as I was before) have lost interest, and this should make Eidos realise that its time to end it. Start another adventurous series, with a new character, a new concept, a FRESH START for something more original!

In my books, Tomb Raider is over. Im not so supportive of this "Legend" release because I think its gonna get bad sales. Its just a gut feeling. Ive been a Prince of Persia fan since I was 4 years old (1989), and NEVER have I lost interest in it. Jordan Mechner proved to keep the POP series as unique and ground breaking as it has always been, and the series is 16 years old now. So im sticking to POP... I think it has much more potential than Tomb Raider will ever have again. When its time, its time. And this is Tomb Raider's time to end (always in my holy opinion). Eidos has skill with adventure game, so they should be wise enough to start something bigger and better.

Please take this post as simply an opinion from an ex-fan of Tomb Raider.

Very good arguments indeed Ancient Prince but I really think Tomb Raider Legend will be the Best Tomb Raider, they brought in the original game creator Toby Guard, the one who created the first Tomb Raider ... he's just as good as Jordan Mechner and he left the series after Tomb Raider 1 when they changed what he wanted Lara croft to be, but he is back now and I have faith in him. I will give this tomb raider another chance and hopefully I will not be disappointed and I think you should probably too ... You never know, you might end up liking it !!!

Nice Views Alimokrane!I know about the chronicles website of TR which u had posted in the previous page.The moves of Lara are good.Its more like that we have a faster pace gameplay one more time which can be a good feature.But the Graphics.To be honest this game doesn't look like that this is the Tomb Raider 2005.They need near to the game to realism rather than cartoony.Lara is still looking cartoony

The character of Lara being Cartoony is actually one of the trademarks of the Tomb Raider Franchise. it has been like that since the first Tomb Raider and that's the way we like it ! Sorry I got a little carried away with the smileys. I'm so excited I can hardly contain it. The huge Tomb Raider fan that's been dormant inside for so long is finally out. This is the Tomb Raider game I've been waiting for. Return to tombs, temples, caves, jungles, waterfalls and snowy mountain peaks. YES, YES, YES!!! Thank you Eidos and Core for returning the franchise to it's roots.

It's not Core Design who's making the game now it's Crystal Dynamics, they are a development Studio based in the US and are the ones who made the Legacy of Kain series

Tomb Raider 2 was the best game out of all the TR series. I played it with my brother and uncle and we had ALOT of fun. We use to get scared at some parts when something suddenly happens during gameplay and the soundtracks of the game were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

I never got to play the first tomb raider because it wasn't as good as the 2nd one. After i played half way through TR 3 AOD, I just had to stop playing Tomb Raider... for some reason they completly changed the controls and almost half of everything it use to half back then. But of course i loved that level in AOD where she was in a club with all those colorful lights and that music that was playing was pretty cool =D. Then when TR the last revlation (or was it revolution?) came out, that was the end of TR for me.

i actually thought AOD was pretty decent. If it weren't for the fact that they released it before it was actually finished (to coincide with the release of the Cradle of Life movie), it would've been a helluva lot better. It was different, but it really did keep me into the game. At first, it was getting average reviews, but when certain critics started bashing it, it seemed like people were jumping on the bandwagon.

Anyhoo, i'm pretty excited for the latest installment of the game. It does seem like they've taken a lot from Prince of Persia, but when Sands of Time first came out, they made it no secret that they did borrow a few things from Tomb Raider.

I read somewhere that Angel Of Darkness was supposed to be a trilogy of some sorts, because it was said that the Lux Veritatis would rise once again.

I quite liked AoD also - the only thing I really found annoying was 'I Feel Stronger Now' and all that. It kind of ruined the Tomb Raider experience - and it didn't seem very realistic.

Lara: Uh? What's that - Hmm a crowbar. Perhaps I can break that padlock on that shack.

Tomb Raider was one of the few action/adventure games and I've read in several reviews and whatnot that SoT had been inspired a little by Tomb Raider. If you read older articles about Tomb Raider, they'll say the same thing about borrowing a lot from the 2D versions of PoP. They've all borrowed from each other though I have to say that PoP started it all.

You're right, that upgrade thing was just pointless and stupid but I have a feeling that Tomb Raider Legend will RULE !!! I mean did you see those gameplay videos WOW !!
