First of all, like the game, enjoy it online, and so on and so forth.
Now that being said... I am aware of the other issues and have read about, and experienced them all. This one, however, does bother me slightly. Myself and a friend have tested this repeatedly. We have been on Xbox Live since it came out. We have tested many games this way and this is the first issue we have seen of this type. Not a huge problem but definitely a problem. We are on business class internet. 6mb down, 512k up. We use a netgear (live compatible) wireless router, but we are both direct connects. Two seperate Xboxes. I create a GR2 game on live, Sharp Shooter for example. He logs into that game, we are the only two in the game. Same guns, I shoot at the ground, or distance shots the impact time is perfect, When he shoots at the ground or distance there is a definite, noticeble delay. Maybe not a full 1 sec but close. The opposite is true when he hosts the game. I don't care about rankings or stats but this can cause some serious issues with that kind of delay when playing online relating to accuracy, especially at a distance or when I am trying to talk smack. This gives them an excuse you see and I don't like that. Anyone else? Thanks,
Nomenclature

I've experienced this as well. ...don't expect it to be fixed...but maybe it will be kept in mind for the next GR offering.

75% of the time when you shoot someone they will be standing still or moving very slowly (i.e crawling or crouching). So this 1 sec delay doesn't really hurt that much. I have noticed some delay when i am shooting a sniper at a moving target. It is almost impossible to hit. I don't know if i should aim right at it or a little in front but it seems like there is some serious delay if you try to shoot a running target with a sniper rifle. Like i said though, usually you will be shooting at a target that is standing still so the little bit of bullet lag doen' really bother me.

Theres always a degree of host advantage with any online game (although i have hear its much worse in this one ive not yet noticed it). I think the most unfortunate thing here is they didnt include the option for dedicated servers which would have resolved the issue instantly

the bullet lag in this game is horrific. its not your connection, its the game.

I played this game in NIC prior to game launch and found it to be great, well that was because it was on system link,ie.. perfect timing and no delays. When GR first came out and grit there was always a host advantage but minimal compared to this garbage. I do feel that ubisoft will not fix this and this will hinder this game largely.

I don't see this game with as large as a following for the timeframe that GR had.

Really Ninjaryder1 ? I just started a system link to test this and still came up with the same problem concerning the shot delay. How did you keep this from happing to you during gameplay?
