well think for a moment...you can't jump up to him...and you can't hurt his chest or anything......so, all is left to do is to slash his bottom part (*hint hint), and when he kneels in pain, you should take that time to jump over him and....

I answered your first posted question.
Are you still in the garden waterworks tower or have you gone over to the mechanical clockworks tower?

There are several large stone statues that do not move or will move when you solve a certain puzzle.
There is a large creature known as a brute that you must fight. Can you run between his feet? Where can you hit and injure that creature?
