I bought 2.5 from walmart today and no manual is included. Is there one online somewhere? Because I'm having a tough time exiting the flight mode of the program.

Should be on the CD in .pdf
To stop flying, either crash, or ctrl-Q and then alt-Q on the subsequent menu.

Beware you have a full version, and not only a demo CD (which was wrongly dirtibuted at some times /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif ).

Hello,
You wouldn't happen to have that .pdf file would you? If you do could you possibly do me a favor and e-mail it to me @ rhino585@networld.com? Thank you.

Whoosh . . . . (checks) . . . . whoosh.
No, I'm afraid I don't.
I have one of the original, age-old, heavily battered and rare as hen's teeth these days original boxed versions of Flanker, complete with printed manual.
As such, it doesn't have the .pdf manual on the CD that I can find. Apologies.
Which version do you have that doesn't have a printed manual . . . . yet no manual on CD either?

Thanx for looking though. I bought Flanker 2.0 @ a garage sale, no manual just the CD. I downloaded 2.5 and the patch 2.51, but no manual was with either of those. I am mainly looking for the keyboard funtions and such. I've read this forum and have found some info, but the manual could fill-in alot of blanks. Thanks again for your help.

. . . . . I searched my Flanker directory for the files, and was halfway through attaching them to an email when I realised they'd be in your Flanker directory as well . . . or should be.
Flanker 2.5 and 2.51 readme files should be obvious.
Keycommands.doc should give you the keyboard map.
The manual is useful in teaching you how to fly, although the training missions (no longer of use with 2.51, sadly), Ironhand, and questions posed here should get you running.
If you can't find them, I will email, otherwise good luck and have fun!
Best to print the keymap and plaster it all over your bedroom walls until you learn it . . . . remember to take it down when you've got company round, otherwise I suspect you may well be dumped on the spot if they don't understand the complexities and attractions of Flanker /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Looks tasty. Could you believe how flamed I got when I sang beer's praise in the LOMAC forum? Those guys are way too uptight about life over there.
Anyway, beers
