I can't wait for this game to come out. Looks to be one of the best games this year.

This game looks great. Definately one to watch. The only thing I hope they clean up a bit is the point of impact with the swords. On that trailer it looked like some of the hit detection on the sword strikes were off. I hope the combat ends up having a visceral feel to it.

They will have more than enough time to hone that. This footage wasn't taken from a build that is anywhere near final. They've still got many months of development to do so details like that will be polished. Always remember that anything you see this far from launch isn't going to be perfect.

Awesome!

I'm really looking forward to playing Assassin's Creed. The game is looking great, and the gameplay sounds exciting. Your interview with Jade helped to answer a few questions I had about it. Glad to see you were able to get a little more info.

I know it's early but I just see some things that might hinder this title. It's going into areas where dismemberment should be. What I mean is swinging a sword and hacking off an arm or something. Sadly I think the game won't go there and deliver a 'light' experience. I'm not saying the game will not be good. Just pulling a few punches, that's all.

The game is going to be held in cuffs by just a mature rating to garner sales. Those old weapons were extremely brutal. I wish developers would take that into consideration. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

*Did you know that in ancient Celtic myth there was a spear that had 13 barbs at the tip. They would open after hitting a target. Upon pulling out the weapon the entrails followed.

I thought this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6709345.stm) was quite cool. Article might be a bit boring though - but others were even more so!

Yes, I know - how tragic that I found that cool... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Clearly, the big man likes his Ubisoft games http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I just read that this is set for a November release date. A far cry from the September release that EB and GameStop had listed, but I understand not wanting to compete with you know who. Details at TEAM XBOX (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/13661/Ubisoft-Assassins-Creed-to-Ship-in-November/).

You do have a point. Even though the weapons then weren't so sophisticated, they were much, much more brutal. I would most definitely prefer to be shot in a modern war than bludgeoned to death in the days of old. So yes, I suppose technically, there should be some more limb rippage, etc. But really, I'm okay without all the gore. I just can't watch the dismemberment type stuff for too long before I get sick of it.

As nice as that would be. I'd rather wait until it's finished.

I just want to point out that if they were to include this kind of stuff then more than likely it would end up getting an AO rating from the ESRB which severly limits your sales. Also, what would dismembering someone do to add to the gameplay value of the game? I can only see how that would hinder the game without adding any real value.

Am I the only one to have noticed there' s an alien figure at the bottom of the logo or has this been pointed out yet?
