I was playing rainbow6 one day when i got an awsome idea. And for those of you who don't know what rainbow6 is its a squad based game that you sorrta have to be stealthy but it doesn't require it like sc. But my idea is a squad based splintercell. I have thought of some problems but found solutions like wouldnt it be hard to make the other splinter cells go were its dark or behind a object so enemies cant see them?? But in rainbow six your guys go to cover automatically so why not in sc. Also when i was playing all the sc games i had the problem of enemies running into me and start shooting at so wouldnt it be harder for enemies not to run into the rest of the splintercells?? well no because if they set it so if a enemy gets close the splinter cell closest to the enemy automatically grabs him, kills him,or knocks him out. Then theres the problem of making noise like one of your team seeing a enemy/enemies.well my solutoin is he notifies you and then you can order him what to do. And then all of us who have played splintercell have notified enmies to our presence be running to fast or somthing of that effect. well your all trained splintercells and your team doesnt have the downside of being human controlled so your team will automatically run the darkest path and go as fast as they can with out making noise over there current enviorment. now im not saying they should make the next splintercell like that cause that might ruin the franchise but i think they should make a new franchise like that.

tell me what you think about my idea or tell me problems you find. And remember you would have alot more optoins for your squad than what i listened.

not a 4 person coop im talking about you controling the other guys no questions asked unlike online games were from my own expierence a guy starts arguing about how to go about solving a problem, then after 5 minutes the enemy finds and kills you.

i dont like that idea at all and plus it wouldnt wok out because 1.why would u need more than 1/max 2 people and 2.it doesnt really seem like splintercell

well im not talking about all the same stealth requirements of splintercell. im talking basically about a rainbow six game that requires more stealth maybe like a light meter and maybe the ability to sneak up on people and grab them.

Quote:1.why would u need more than 1/max 2 people and 2.it doesnt really seem like splintercell

1. there would only be you and 1 other splintercell any more would be sortta crouded 2.it wouldnt be splintercell or rainbow six.

see in rainbow 6 and in most games your enemies are aready ready and behind cover ready to shoot at anything that moves but then on the other hand in splintercell they dont know your there and can catch them when there not ready.
im saying keep the ability to choose your own gear, to keep 1 squad member besides you, and keep the ability to be trigger-happy or stealthy when you want then add the abbility to sneakup and grab people, and dont make the enemies so prepared like they new you were coming a day before you got there.

there ready because they can hear ur loud gunfire and when ur comming(loud chopper noise and etc)and splintercell is a stealth game which mans that they dont know ur there

Fine then use silenced guns and use a chopper as less as possible infact on alot of missions they had if we hadnt used a choper and started from the ground up it would have been better. Or if you had to start up high just make it look like your team to get there.

I've said this before under different aliases, you should be able to get a team of four Sc's and complete a mission like a stealth delta force.

P.S. didn't read all previous posts so sorry if somone had this idea already.

i do like the idea of 4 people. mayby even start at a different place. I think you need more the feeling of: "omg". i think squad based parts are really cool in games like bf2 (but only if you really stay together and use mic) and all "attack" 1 point. Or perhaps a "rescue a vip and escort him but stealthy". Could be a cool topic for new idea's. But the main part would be: STEALTH!

It has potential, but (sort of like you said) NOT as a "Splinter Cell" game. It would simply use many of the principles of stealth and detection developed in the SC series and translate them over to a Delta Force or Navy SEAL scenario. In reality, this could work, as many of the missions these groups carry out need to remain stealthy to a large degree. I think it could take the team-based shooter game to an entirely new and great level. I'm a little bored of the angle every shooter takes of attempting to use superior firepower as the solution to every problem. There are cases (many, actually) where a suppressed MP5 (or even no weapon at all) trumps a G36 or M60...

This could also lead to the development of bots for Splinter Cell which would be great to help players prcatice on their own time, allow non-Live-enabled players to get a similar (not exact, obviously) multiplayer experience, and potentially add a new dimension to the game as a whole.

They already have it. It's called Ghost Recon. You've got your squad and stealth (hiding in bushes). I wouldn't want to play anything with more of a Splinter Cell feel.

I'm not sure an entire squad would be very fun but if u had one computer AI ally with you that would be cool

otios, Ghost Recon is hardly stealth-oriented. While I managed to play quite stealthily with the two guys with MP5SD's and Stone's suppressed rifle, the game was noticeably NOT designed for that style. It's also based predominantly outdoors--opposite of the majority of a "Splinter Cell style" environment. I still feel a more Rainbow Six style game with more emphasis on stealthy infiltration/takedowns would be a great game. In essence, it'd simply be taking those games to a new level--it wouldn't be a drastic change from the current RS games (anti-terrorist team infiltrating buildings, etc), but would simply focus more on missions that required more "discretion" than at least Rainbow Six 3 for the xbox had (the intro Rambo shoot-'em-up video really says it all on that game). It wouldn't really be able to be a "Splinter Cell" game at all.

For those still fixated on a squad based Splinter Cell game, it'd be dumb to have more than two people in a unit (as has been addressed in many discussions relating current co-op and vs modes...).

yes I agree with you rikakiah and I do believe a mix of the two games would be very entertaining

and again it wouldnt be a squad based splintercell or stealthy rainbow six it would simp;y be a squad based game with a few stealth influences.

How about we leave SC the way it is?

i agree leave sc the same but make a new game with some of the traits from both games.

they would waste time on making a new game like that when ya'll want the new Coop maps and more multiplayer maps and it would be kindof stupid to do that and they would lose money and no company wants to lose money face it.
