Hopefully there is one of you here that is still awake and able to help me out. Wink

The bottom line is that I'm unable to uninstall the game. I select 'uninstall' from the start menu, it confirms that I want to remove HoMMV, that I want to keep the user data and saved game, then the progress bar appears, and the it alerts me that the game has been successfully removed.

I then attempt to re-install from the disk. The splash screen appears, I select 'Install' from the menu, and then it asks me to confirm 'removing the application'. I go through the process again, and then select 'Install' from the disk; same thing.

So, I attempt to uninstall it from the 'Add/Remove Programs' function found in the Control Panel - no go.

I'm uninstalling because when I attempted to patch up it said that it couldn't find HoMMV. I was going to patch up because the trees and water have been extremely screwy and slow. FPS is fine, the game is running great, I've played through the first five missions - but I know there's an issue.

I'm not too concerned with the display issues; I can sort those out later. I'm concerned with not being able to remove HoMMMV and process to reinstall.

Any ideas help, advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, if after uninstalling there's still a folder for HoMM V, delete it. Also run regedit(Start->Run->regedit), go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Ubisoft, delete the key for HoMM V(icon looks like a folder). If there's nothing else under Ubisoft, you could delete the Ubisoft key to be safe as well. You could also run some registry cleaning tools afterwards(eg. RegClean, RegSeeker), although i don't know if they'll help. Some of those registry cleaning tools may even detect the keys for HoMM V and indicate that they're something that could be deleted, but i haven't tried yet since i don't need to uninstall HoMM V and reinstall it again.
