My mission keeps sending to the Marshall Islands. I never seem to be able to accomplish this mission, even when I set on the "star". If fact, all I ever find are "friendly ships" in 1942. Help!

I had that patrolling the Luson straight. There is no indication on how to accomplish a patrol of a given area. In the last game at least you had a task to spend 24 hours in one grid square. So when I got this and could not complete it I went in search of a big convoy. When I found one I radioed back a patrol status and a contact report and got a wee message back from Sub Pac saying to engage the patrol and sink the destroyers. This went into my objective list to accompish so at least I accomplished something. I sank those ships and as many others as I could and headed home, docked and ended the mission. I still got a medal and a good deal of renown points. I just went on to the next mission.

I think the dev folks really should have a think for further patches or releases on proper structures and definitions for mission objectives.

To grayout the star you must spend about 36-40 hours inside a 40 mile circle from the star.What I do is draw a circle with a 35 mile radius from the star, then plot courses to the north, west, south & east edges of the circle.When you have completed the necessary hours, it will gray out.

If there is shallow water within the circle, I go back & forth inside the circle in blue water.

Sometimes you get a target inside the circle, which helps.
