Hi all,

First off, GREAT GAME!!! I love the way your success isn't a "given", & that it must be mastered. Which brings me to my problem. I have a very low hit rate using the manual torpedo option, & am wondering what I'm doing wrong. Here's a typical scenario:

I line myself up for a beam shot at about 600m. I take the range, AoB, & take 30 seconds divining the speed. The speed comes up 24777kts!!! Aaaaagh. I'll do it for a minute now, but now the other data is out of date, right? So I do it all over, & now have a 45 degree shot, fading fast. Is it possible to get the speed beforehand, at a greater range, & to save time, enter it manually into the TDC moments before firing? As far as I can see, having to spend 1 minute plus accurately getting the speed right takes so long at short
range, that by the time I have it, the range & AoB are hopelessly out of date. Being able to get the speed data early, & enter it manually would seem to me to represent a time & accuracy saving ploy when doing the final calculations for a shot. Anyone do this?

Does anyone else have any tips? Not just for this predicament, but little protocols you follow to ensure an accurate shot.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Mark
