The easiest and cheapest way to get a BAR is to buy one of Ohio Ordnance Works semi-auto's. Even that will run you right arouond $3000. If you want an original full auto BAR you can figure on spending several times that amount once you find one.
The Ohio Ordnance BAR is built around an original parts set mounted on a newly manufactured semi-auto only receiver. It is a very nice weapon, reliable, cycles quickly and unless you are shooting it next to a full auto no one would ever know the difference.

You missed you fact that like myself, Cota29th is a re-enactor in the United Kingdom and all the weapons the see in the photos are de-activated, so any info from us wouldn't help you much! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes mate it was taken in Normandy, at Turqueville. The guy in the FJ gear is called Martyn. He's a Polish 101st re-enactor and usually meets up with us at some point each year. The photo is a very rough recreation of one Wilbur W. Shanklin of HQ Co. 506th PIR holding up a German on that same spot. It's on pages 154/155 of Michel de Trez's "At The Point of No Return". And yeah that was me badged as 4th Inf at the Highcliffe filming, thought it was you too! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
