sorry for the cross post.

I have just bought two new licenses of ghost recon 2 for PC.
I am having some serious issues connecting to remote servers.
No problem logging on. No problem updating the server list.
But when selecting a server I get to the "Connecting to Server" dialog and then it just sits there.
I have on two occasion been able to connect but then I am only able to see the game through other players - not actually play myself.

I have updated the game with the latest patches.
The only thing I can think of at this state is that I have a slow connection.
This was never an issue with ghost recon 1 though so I would have expected recon 2 to work as well.

Local LAN work without any issues.
I have also ensured that the ports (UDP and TCP) isn't blocked by my firewall.

Would appreciate any suggestions to why I unable to connect to remote servers (with possible suggestions for a solution (except upgrade the line as this isn't an option for me)

cheers

I'm suprised you haven't experienced the same problems on local LAN too.

Everyone else has.

This game has dreadful netcode. Quit out and rejoin FTW.
You might not get into every game, or stay in every game for the duration, but sometimes you will.
