HALP meh with controller issues..

well i've played chaos theory & pandora on xbox for like 3 years but i want'd to play it with a buddy of mine on the pc..



so i went buy chaos theory for pc and a 360 controller but now im finding out i can't use the controller on this game? is there a mod, script, anything that would allow me to do so?



please dont flame me.. i searched threw 50 different websites and about 20 pages back on this website..

I'm not too sure about the gamepad thing, i read somewhere that someone (Mr.Mic?) was working on a gamepad script.

What concerns me though is

well i played xbox live for 3+ years, so im very accustomed to the controller..

i always hated playing pc games with mouse/keyboard although aiming is easyer, movement and reflexs on the controller is what i prefer

only thing i like keyboard/mouse better is for mmorpgs http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif


any idea how long it will take him to finish the script?

well I have alot better reflexs with a controller over a keyboard.. especially since theres alot less keys and there closer together



but i managed to figure it out and get it working but its just not the same because you cant have more then one action on the same key and also you cant have "hold down for x seconds" to hit another action..

so theres not enough buttons on xbox controller to play.. and i could manage to still play but it would be very uncofterble the way i'd have to set it up...

why would you ever want to have to cripple yourself by having to hold something for another function to appear, when the same thing can be accomplished in 0.05 seconds by pressing another key?

since when is rolling vital to have done .5 seconds faster?


pc version is **** anyway, can't even quickturn?

1. Quickturn feature is useless with a mouse. You can turn the same speed with either.
2. There's this move where you can do a standing roll but not ping the reticle. This allows for very quick but stealthy movement. It can't be done with the xbox controll scheme.

1 - uh, it doesnt even compare.. you have to sling your mouse around and it still doesnt get all the way there unless your sensitivity is on highest possible.. which i doubt.. and also when you do a 180 with mouse you have to reposition your mouse after to aim..

2 - yes it can...alot easier too..

1 - My mouse sensitivity is on 12, and I can do a full 360 in half a second.

2 - Prese the keys: C-Q-C in sequence.
How much easier can it be?

The way it is done on the xbox WILL make a sound on the merc's reticle.

i was playing on 17 and it still wouldnt do it the way i wanted.. and i use a 400 dpi optical mouse..


and nope, it doesnt show up on the recicule..
