I've tried the demo with TIR and it runs very smoothly. But in the Mig I can't lift my direction of view up above the cockpit frame by much of an angle. With the hat switch or mouse I can look straight up. Side-to-side motion is uneffected. Also have tried fiddling with the TIR profile without success.
Feels like my head is tied to the control stick with bungees.
Anyone else found this, or even a workaround?

Have exactly the same problem; viewing left, right or down works great but up i only get to about 45 degrees or so.
This is with both the 2.11 and 2.12 beta 1 TIR software.

For some strange reason you wont get full 'throw' to your TrackIR untill you increase mouse speed.
In cockpit press ctrl shift once to increase the mouse speed, alt shift to go back to normal.
It's still not right (as in not IL-2 FB right) but it gives you that kinda 'all-round' view.
Stormin says that TrackIR support is far better in the release version code (this demo is Beta5)
It works, just not as good as what I'm used to.
