can't find URL message when starting new game

As soon as I choose the difficulty setting, I get a message that says Failed launching URL can't find file for package T_MAP_D5_0800_ripepickings. I can ESC back to the menu, but can't play the game. I have loaded patch 1.02. I disabled my firewall just in case the program was seeeking an internet connection, but this is single player. I have a Pentium 3 ghz machine with Nividia 6800GT. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have reinstalled twice. The first time I reinstalled, I received the GPF error everyone has been seeing. I reinstalled again, and was back to the cant't find URL error, although the map mane has changed. I can get into multiplayer and view the tutorial though. I tried with and without patch 1.02---same error. I updated my motherboard bios--same problem. I went back to the prior version of my NVIDIA 6800 drivers--same problem. This stinks not being able to play. I picked up Silent Hunter III at the same time, and it runs great....
