Hi,

Settlers 6 is a great game, I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
There is one thing I miss, especially due to distances to travel. Where are the mounted knights/ paladins? I want soldiers on horses too, maybe if they're too powerful limit their numbers.
Secondly, I would like to see automatic bridges spanning water (wood or stone according to resource) if paths cross water that can be waded through.
Thirdly, will there be expansion packs planned? Will they feature sail boats and pirates? I had such an expansion pack for settlers five but it never worked. Settlers 5 needed improving anyway which is certainly settlers 6.

Thank you.

Have a great weekend.

Does anyone know anything about any of the points above?

Cheers.

Unfortunately I dont know about mounted horsemen - they managed it in HoK no problem so I shouldnt see why not. In the HoK expansion they introduced the sharpshooter so maybe horsement will be in a RoaE expansion.
So far there hasnt been any word on an expansion pack as the game is very young but you can bet they are thinking of it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Boats would be good, there are trade ships already but owning some and exploring would also be great http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Trade ships and expansion to other islands, just like in earlier Settlers games, that would be a great idea to me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Thats great. I'm glad you all agree.

It is a good point that the game in the public domain is still young but I have no doubt expansion is planned as the game is already immensely popular as it plays as it should have done since settlers 2. Trade by ships/ pirates preying on them, possible escort ships, mounted units, and bridges/ islands would make the game a legend as well as the people that worked hard to created it.
