Halo....need assistance with game

Hi! I just started playing Halo and I really like it. I finally made it on to the planet and have tried over and over again to Evade the Covenant Patrols but I keep dieing. Is there any tricks to this? The first part of the game was easy.

So you are talking about the level called "Halo" right. To avoid that first covenant patrol, just run across the bridge right away after getting all the ammo and stuff from around the escape pod. You can "snipe" them with the pistol from there.

i can't remember all the names of each level, but all i gotta say is, you have to play strategically sometimes. go out and shoot, then hide behind a wall and wait for your shield to recharge (if you got hit). use your grenades too. those will save your life. hopefully, that helps.

HAHAHA... I'm what you would call a runner. When ever there were to many enemy for me to kill, I would just run like hell to get to the next check point.

Lol that level was so fun when I went and beat the game with only the pistol. The pistol is one of the sweetest ****ing guns alive.

Actually, that is the best trick of the game- you dont have to kill everyone just run like hell and fight when you have to. I do want to state that I only did this in legendary of course, lmao!

It becomes necessary to run like hell later on in the game. Especially on Legendary! haha

I'll keep trying, if I can make it past the first part I can make it past the next part right? I do kinda wish I had xbox live but I dont think DSL(is that what I need) is available in my area.

Illyria30 when you are at the landing crash site and before the Covenant drop ship arrives go across the bridge and hide behind the big boulders. Once the ship drops off the covanents and flies away, start laying fire rounds against the grunts and elites with a few healthy doses of grenades. If you can throw the grenades near the grunts and elites on the bridge they will dodge the grenade by jumping off the bridge to thier DOOM, mwahahahah. Hoped that helped.

Illyria, you need DSL or cable!! Call around- it is worth it. Also, if you have anyone that lives with you, have them play with you. It is alot of fun in coop mode and if one lives, they pull the other one back into the game. : )
