it's just stuff that's already on the disc, right? They're just letting us access it for "free" by unlocking it weekly at their own leisure, yes?

Pretty much, yep.

What seriously is with that? And what about people that don't have Live? They can't even access the content that they practically already paid for.

My real question though, my real question is, what's with making people sign up to join a website (Gamespot) so that they can get a code from them just to access stuff that's already on their game disc that they bought already? And a website that has absolutely nothing to do with the game either, or nothing to do with the money you parted with to buy the disc.

It's advertising. They've made such agreements during the course of development to help fund the dev team and such.

It's annoying, but that's just how the world works sometimes.

Don't know but I found this on their website:

Is kind of against that theory.

You don't need Gold, only Silver, which is free.

He didn't say Gold.
Silver is still Live.
I think his point was that not everyone has connected their 360s to the internet yet.
I actually didn't until January 1st of this year.

Yeah, well he's making it seem like it's a big freaking deal when it isn't. It's not like they want the blood of your first born.

I love the metaphors people use online.
And I'm not saying that in an insulting way - a little bit ago, someone compared leaving the content out as a parent leaving out the pepperoni of pizza bagels and giving it out a piece at a time.

No, the 3E Map was already on the disc as well, it was just a way to get people who don't have Live involved...again, because it is on the disc.

None of my buddies were interested in buying it, most of them don't like stealth games, they said.
