Am I the only person here who doesn't like versus? I haven't playet SC or PT, only CT, but I'm pretty good at the game (100% on all levels/full stealth), but I'm an ubernoob while playing versus. And secondly, the graphics in versus are much worse than solo/coop. Does anyone agree?
P.S. And I've heard that CT's versus is very challenging to new players...

If it's hard, why even try? Nothing hard can ever be rewarding.

If you play it you will get better at it. You have to practice to be good at anything. If everything was easy it would be pointless.

The graphics are toned down to help streamline the framerates - that and also because it's a completely different engine running vs mode.

Sarge, the game mechanics of Versus are designed for a faster paced game. Single Player is focused on problem solving and timing against an AI...there is no randomness or intuitive nature to it.

In Versus, you are up against human opponents and in ANY game that makes it infinitely more difficult.

To get good, you should start with noob servers to memorize the maps....then slowly start playing against players of better skill in order to learn strategy and tactics.

If single player is a beautiful sports car then Versus is a Formula 1 Racing car....uncomfortable to sit in and very easy to crash...but nothing beats the adrenaline of tearing up the track.

It takes some time to get good at, trust me. I was a level 4 on ps2 on pandora tomorrow, and that was farely high. I really ripped it up on that game, I could win about 90% of my games. Once I came to chaos theory, I was an ubbernoob like you. I played I think 20-25 games until I actually one my first match in story. The game was completely different to what I originally knew it as. But over time i've gotten better, and i've improved greatly, I'm no near the best, but i'm definately not the worst.

Just go to the tutorial and visit a map. Run through it about 10 times till you know every nook and cranny, then try it in a game. It'll be a lot easier to know where you are.

This is exactly why SC is one of the least played games on Multi-Player. I mean sure, when the game comes out everyone is killing it. But in the end all the vets are left playing utter noobs or people who think there good but aren't. All the new people that come to the game get raped by the vets and they end up quiting because it's too hard or they don't understand. You have to play to be good and to be good you must first loose. A LOT!

i really agree with some of the post here,,to just start playin VS its really hard for noobs,,and for that reason, no one really plays it.or its not one of the top five games like halo!, halo is very easy to manage and for that its friendly with vets. and noobs..But if u take the time to play it, youll learn soon enough, when i first got pandora,i didnt kno wat the heck i was doin..but i stuck in there and kept on losin but then sure enough i got more acustom to the game, and startin kickin but,im really happy that the new VS mode for DA is gonna be noob friendly and easier to learn, becuz of some stuff they're doin...and for that it will be one of the top five games played on live! but as for now..the best way to learn the game to me..is to play deathmatch with a couple of your friends and get the feel of the maps ,the characters and the challenge of other ppl. do this for a while and youll be up there, and o yea have someone to help u out while playin.( your partner ,if not a noob)

Yeah, Halo 2 is an easy game for new beginners. Sometimes it's too easy and unfair. I've been playing since Halo 1, and I'm really good at it. But Chaos Theory on the other hand, it's a really different sort of gaming than simple shooters like Halo 2.

The first time I played PT online (wasn't to long ago) me and my friend won like 6 game. We had absolutly no idea what we were doing but we won.

We did complete the objectives bud had no idea on how to get a kill. Anyways..this was before I had CT.
