I belong to a huge South american Squad with virtual pilots from Argentina, Brasil, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Chile. There are other squadrons in South America from Chile, Peru, Brasil, and anothers from Argentina. We are a quite big comunity, but we see with disapointment that can´t preorder the boxed edition or even the downloable version of CoD from our countries. I hope Ubisoft take this issue into account and solve it properly. We deserve an answer as any other customer around the world. Thanks in advance.

I live in Puerto Rico and at least I can preorder it for download.But having so many countries in south America not being able to get is a shame.

I am part of ECV 56 condor, and also wish that we will be able to preorder it from here. The fact that that posibility is not allowed here(South America) leaves a lot of fans and virtual pilots from here, separated from the rest of the virtual squadrons arround the world that will be able to get it, and that just doesn´t sound fair. so please, change your mind about this subjet.

You'd think that releasing a game digitally would make it easier to get it to more people around the world but it seems like Ubi is trying to use the digital release to reduce the number of places you can get it.

For another thing, a lot of people around the world still have to use dial-up.

I understand that the decision to issue a disc or just a download option is a business decision based on the estimated demand from a specific market. (Please don't shoot the messenger!) That's the way UBI and the other big distributors apparently see it. Unfortunately flight sims are not a big item for them.

Here i'm speaking in name of the GOA FENIX and URU squads we also had been following the development of this sim since the begining, and to our surprise we can't pre order it as i seein the checkout there's no country from latin america to choose, so please ubi, 1C make a distribution of this game to the huge latin american Il-2 community.

Pls make it before the release date we also want to play and support CoD as we did during 10 years with Il-2

One of the problems to download COD is that many of us have dial-up speed connections, so it´s just impossible.

I´ve pre order my Collector´s Edition from german amazon (hope comes in English!) but also some people don´t have credit cards although they have the money to buy it.

I think, that 1C is going to wait untill the latest possible moment to go gold because of time constraints. Anyone that gets a boxed copy will probably need to download a patch/update before they can even play the game. I have decided for myself to just get the download version for this reason. 6 Months later I'll get a boxed version that has had the first few patches. Worked out with DCS Blackshark. Found that for $19 withing 6 moths of release at Best Buy in the bargain bin. I know I pay more but get to play the day the game is released.

For the guys with only dialup connection I feel bad. It looks like you're going to have to wait untill someone hooks you up thru Ebay.

The chap I checked with in yesterday at an EBGames outlet was saying something similar.. along the lines of (and this is conjecture, so please don't anyone read this as fact... it isn't fact), that the boxed version may only be available way after the release day, if in fact it is ever released officially to the different parts of the world crying out for it.
Yes dial up connection users are in for a sad time.

be wary though, outlets which list a boxed version for pre-order may not actually have it for the official release day.

If 1C and Ubi won't or can't distribute it around the world, someone really should. I'm expecting that there will be a boxed version sold at the very least in places like the US, insisting on downloads only would be dumb, lots of people around the world still use dialup, plus the flight sim community is just older and isn't as willing to deal with digital downloads when they could just put in a disc and install it much more quickly.

The mods have been following up on this problem. Can anyone confirm the following:

1. Through UBI.com, can you pre-order the digital download? It should be possible.

2. Has anyone checked Steam? It should be coming to that system soon to pre-order, apparently.

There's no info about boxed versions, I'm afraid. I understand your frustration - I ended up ordering mine from Finland as I still like to physically 'own' my games.

Just got an email from the Finnish company I had preordered the Collector's Edition from. Despite them checking with Ubi several times an being assured that yes, there will be stocks of the CE, today they were informed that they will in fact NOT be receiving the CE after all. I can still get the regular boxed set, which is good enough, but I was kind of looking forward to the fancy one.
Wonder what UBi marketing think they are doing?

There's nothing much to report I'm afraid. Distribution seems to be based on sales of previous games in different regions is the reason I *think*.

I'd go for an international company and see if they will ship it to you. The game may be released later in your countries - I hope so - but in the meantime that might be the best option.
