Anyone have a valid reason? Theres so few players online and its not even a year old. RVS still have 800 so players playign yet this game is lacking serverly.

Why yeeeess... is called "UBI"
The more they continue to kick PC gamers to the curve for the allmighty dollar they get from the Console gamers, the more subpar or unfinished/unoptimized games you will be getting for PC.
The answer is NOT to keep buying so they won't stop making PC games, the answer is NOT buying any game from them so they know they got to do right by us...
Disclaimer: This is of course, only my opinion and I could be wrong! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That doesnt explain why theres such few players playing online.
If it was a really bad issue that stoped me from playing then i wouldnt play either.

Because it was patched to a minimum working level (see UBI for more details) and soon became boring.
Dont expect graw 2 to be any more popular

In no order:
1) GR 2 canceled; some players just moved on.
2) Poor release of the game. The game needed major patching, and gave little reason for the above to come back.
3) Little or no support for the MP community. Most patches were more of a joke, like the SADS. Server pulled 100% CPU even when idle. This meant very few GSP, and when you did find one they wanted 4.99 a slot.
4) UBI/GRIN out of touch with the MP community. One MP mode on release, when the community wanted Last Man Standing we didn't mean Death Match. Most old GR players know the different, UBI/GRIN didn't.
5) Unable to play all maps on any mode, again little or no support for the MP community.
6) Auto Download, much like the SADS was a joke.
7) No anti-cheat, Screen Shots of hacks were posted before the game was released. GRIN added their version of a anti-cheat, but was no more then a file checker.
8) No replays/demo's, game just wasn't matchable..hard to with very little to work with.
I have more but no more time.

what Pulaski said http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
cept i'd also add to #3 by saying the SP was way off as well, and the patches were all MP based, with hardly a scratch to SP stuff, even the AI tweaks supposedly made don't work as intended post patching.
and for #4 the SP community was murdered with no moddability built into the game with reasonable consideration to how its done, hence modders aren't even remotely interested in the game for the most part (few exceptions as seen on GR.net)
and people wanted a true GR sequel not some hack up arcade shooter thats more of a Counter strike clone than anything Tom Clancy.
speaking of mods, add a #9 to that list
Mod community was kaput with this game since "officialy" mods are illegal as per the EULA, and the game is so unmoddable it takes WAY to much effort to even get something to work, skins included.
And map making is limited to what? OGR co op?
theres a lot of fun... the 360's co op defense (GRAW 2 i dunno.. did GRAW 1 360 have it... hmm) mode is more entertaining honestly, and thats just as repetitive with AI just running mindlessly at the players.

The game just isn't that good, and the mp features that should have been included came at a later date. In this day and age of instant gratification it was too late to make a difference for AW.

"instant gratification" has nothing to do with it.
the game was released in a state that made a commadore 64 game look bug free.

God, now there is a blast from the past http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
bit ot this but

The game lacked content at start, bad move to lack content on release.
The game is fun online now, but its a bit late for some.

It has everything to do with it. UBI thinks it can release games in any state it wants as long as the TV commercial or game trailer looks cool. As long as the screenshots are pretty gameplay doesn't matter. Take a look at some of the people posting in this forum, they're going to buy AW2 sight unseen because they believe that "this time" it will be complete. They have "faith" that GRIN will put out the full game. UBI is responsible for the release of it's titles for one. And after Bo lied about AW on gr.net and was called out about it he acted like a jerk, took his toys and said he was gonna quit posting. Some of the n00bs here may forget or not care about that stuff, but it sends a message to some of us that he has zero respect for the customer.
Or don't any of you think that the developer for a game should post on the "official" forums of the publisher for that game? Can any of you name one other FPS/RPG/MMORPG where this happens?

We are are just battleling an already lost war, we just don't even know it yet... it will come full circle but it will take some time until others catch up (capitalize?) on UBI's mistake.

i see, i think we mistook each others meanings http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
what i'm getting at is there is no want of instant gratification by the customers.
we're not expecting a perfect upon release game.
the game was just bad when it released, and couldn't make hardly any true game happy with it.
am i right or still missing something here? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
Edit: i have to add this http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif its just so proper for this thread http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I bought Graw 1 on release and i loved it. A challenging game with stunning grafics that pushed my pc to the limit though but it managed to stay alive http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . The only problem i noticed to begin with was the ability to chat ingame freely like in almost any other online game where players talk to eachother and deside witch kind of game/server to setup and join. In Graw 1 you can sit and wait fore someone to make a move to setup a server or you can make your own and sit in the dark and hope someone notices your great server in the mist of other servers. When they introduced "dedicated" servers it got a little easier to hook up but i still prefer to be able to chat to all in the lobby although most chat is irrelevant (flaming and spamming and *****ing ect http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
