If by any chance they do decide to make a splinter cell movie, I think I found the perfect actor to play the role of Sam Fisher. If you have seen the horrible movie starship troopers 2 then you should know who Richar Burgi is.

The movie was confirmed only a couple of weeks ago. The cast hasn't been finalised. And IMO, Clive Owen (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/Desert_Hawk/Cliveowen2.jpg) would make a great Fisher.

Clive seems to young in my opinion. sam fisher is 40 plus no?

Him, too. They both look like fisher. I think Richard Burgi does more so though. Both would be good for the part if they could play it.

Clive is in his 30's. Sam is 43 in Pandora Tomorrow. I thought Clive looked 40-ish in the pic i posted. However, Burgi has an American accent, Clive is a Brit.

There's a few brit actors/actresses that have fooled me in movies. Jill Valentine in Resident Evil Apocalypse. I never would've guessed she had a heavy british accent in reality. Clive might be able to pull it off, too.

Clive Owen is my choice but this picture of clooney compared against Owen makes it hard to choose. There is no other choice IMO.

i still say Thomas Jane even though those picks look just like sam.

Wow, I wasn't sure how good of a Fisher, George Clooney would look, but ****, that looks almost identical. But Owen Clive is my choice, they could make him older.

You guys are all too focused on face resemblance ;

Imo it's much more important that the actor has the same type of athletic frame build as Sam. The SC games distinguish themselves by Sam's typical manner of all the moves he pulls of.

Richard Burgi seems too short n stubby to play Fisher imo.
Clive Owen, Thomas Jane and George Clooney all resemble Fisher better concerning build of frame and body language. Yes, even 'small' moves like the stealth walking. The actor should be able to pull that off looking identical to how it looks ingame.

Any stealth action movie should not focus too much on face anyway. It's all about the moves you know. No digital after FX can replace that.

Agree completely Knot.
Though we proboably aren't gonna see George Clooney bust split jumps anytime soon http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

^ Heheh, well extreme moves like the splitjump would probably be done by a stand-in actor or digital FX anyway.

The main concern however is the basic physical resemblance of Sam Fisher. Any actor who would play the role should imo play the game and study and eventually be able to copy the stealth walk flawlessly.
Jean-Claude van Damme can do the splitjump but, he's just too bulky too play Fisher, imo.
If I were the film director I'd pick the actor who's limb to frame ratio matches that of the Sam Fisher polygon model best.

UbiSoft based Sam Fisher on George Clooney so they are bound to look identical. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Haven't they been in talks with an actor, can't remember his name but it was posted in a topic http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Do you think in the movie they would make Sam wear his scuba/ninja mask? That would get rid of two problems, at least. They wouldn't have to take what his face looks like into account...nevermind. After about three seconds of thinking about it, the movie won't take place ONLY in missions, it's going to take place sometimes before and after missions, so it would show his face. I could have erased this post and forgotten about it, but I'm already this far and don't want to waste these...however long it took to write this...minutes of my life. Besides, I wanted to type something. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I still think Jason Statham would make a great Fisher, as long as he adapts an American accent. If not him, then Tom Jane would make a great Fisher.
