i was wondering if there's any plans to have a canadian version?
i saw the frag dolls visit montreal at arcadia last november, but didn't get to meet them cause I was actually working at the event! I was the Xbox girl for Gilette. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The problem with that is that I just don't think there are enough events up here to make it worth Ubisoft's while to have a Canadian specific team. The odd time that an event does come up, it's probably more worth it for them to send a couple of the girls from the US (like they did last year for the Best Buy event in Toronto) then to employ a whole separate Canadian team.

Besides, although I would fully support a Canadian team, if there was one, then the US girls would never have a reason to come up here http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif .

I do get the impression that a few of them will be up here again in August for the MLG event in Toronto so that's one opportunity to meet them if you're in the area.

I think it's 1 Frag Doll team per continent or 2 if it's huge like Europe. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I'm still waiting for the Swedish Frag Dolls. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

Honestly, though, it would be cool to see a Japanese or Korean version of Frag Dolls.

And they can only play Counter-Strike or Blizzard games or they're not allowed to join http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif.

I'm wondering why ubisoft would even want to create an asian team. Looking at the games they publish (although things may go on in other markets I'm vastly unaware of) do they even have that big of an appeal in asia? The only thing I can think of them possibly marketing successfully towards the mainstream asian audience was red steel, and that didn't go so well. They don't have any fighters, mmo's, rpgs, rts's or those weirdo gonzo games that tend to do so well in asia like your loco roco correchos or your katamari damacy's. Basically the games they themselves produce are really a niche market in asia.

I think in his joking way Phin really hit on the head why there is no point to a frag dolls team in asia. If they happen to publish "wonder star girl emotional adventure" or not is a mystery to me but from what I can see it seems an unnecessary expense that could only lead towards publicity for competitors products.

If the Frag Dolls begin to compete in more games they would be smart to extend their teams as competitors. Until that time, just follow the current boring one. At least they are a little cute.

(kidding on the boring lol, def not boring, they should be demanded at every event period)
