Welcome to the March 2008 SH4 Screenshot Competition Submissions Thread for EDITED entries.
The Screenshot Competition allows any forum member to show off, and compete each month for the coveted certificate, signed by me for authentification. Begun in April 2006 with the SH3 competition (Still running of course), as the month's progress, we'll build an excellent ˜portfolio' of shots we can all be proud of.
Each winner will receive a fantastic certificate, with their name printed on it and signed by me for authentication posted to them wherever they live in the world! (Credit to VG for designing the Certificate - Great Job!)

Taking part is really simple. There are a few rules and guidelines, and below are some tips for posting up your shots Remember to vote too when voting opens each month, and add any comments or questions you wish to ask about the screenshot you are voting for.
<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">How do I enter?</span>
1. Submit your EDITED screenshots from the 1st of month until the 16th, when the thread will be closed and another sticky thread for voting will be opened, which will link back to here so you can view all the entries
2. Submit no more than 4 screenshots. It will be easier for voting purposes if you post all 4 in the same post.
3. Please remove your ˜dials' before posting your screenshot. Press 'del' on your number pad on your keyboard to remove the dials, take your screenshot then press it again to get them back. Scroll down to see how to remove the dials if you've forgotten to do this when you took the shot.
4. Please do not post unedited screenshots here, there is a seperate entry thread for those.
5. All screenshots should be 800x600 pixels. Minoos very kindly compiles the entries into a one click view-all link which only contains 800x600 screenshots. Updated - Forum members using widescreen monitors that prevent 800 x 600 screenshots will still be allowed to enter - Maximum width 1024.
I will endeavour to contact via PM anyone who posts outsized shots or shots with dials on them to give them time to resubmit.
<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">How do I vote?</span>
Voting starts on the 17th of each month and finishes on the last day of the month. Any forum member can vote – even if you haven't entered the competition itself.
You get TWO votes per competition – 1st vote awards 3 points and the 2nd vote awards 1 point.
Please don't vote for yourself - the votes won't count if you do.
<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">I need help!</span>
Doug D kindly offers some good advice for those wishing to remove dials from their screenshots if they have left dials showing:
Process:
Step 1: Right click picture > select 'open with' > 'Paint'
Step 2: Select 'dotted rectangle' tool, place curser in one corner of desired picture, leaving out the dials e.g. top left, and drag to opposite corner (bottom right), let go.
Step 3: Select 'Edit' > 'copy to' and give new file name. (Note: defaults to .BMP file.)
Step 4: Repeat Step 1 on new file and select 'save as' and '.jpg' in 'Save as type' drop menu and save.
Now you have your great competition entry screenshot without the dials and we can all vote for you.
There is a general guide to getting your screenshots posted here in the forum: Here (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/857101043/m/4451080164)
