In the beginning of the game, Desmond says, "Wow he looks so old. He must have come back way after the attack...but why?"

Anyone know why he came back? I dont remember it being answered...

I was wondering the same thing as well. I guess we'll maybe go back in DLC.

No, it's not asnwered why he came back.
Or maybe it is..

Anyway, It could be a potential DLC or something to connect with AC: Lost Legacy.

Uhh... Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy perhaps?

Well that's not coming out for the 360, so I don't care about that

Even if that's your answer?

I read somewhere that Lost Legacy was going to be about Ezio going back to Masyaf...so it could be that at Masyaf Ezio learns about the Shroud and comes back to look for it at the villa.
If you ask me (and I know you are dying to know what I think) I would like either a DLC or a bleeding-effect memory like the one Desmond had about Altair and Maria. Why I prefer those? Because I don't have a DS...

Well yea, it is a bleeding effect memory, but the fact remains that Ezio did go back there.

Is AC: Lost Legacy only for 3DS or does the regular DS work with it?

It's for the 3DS.
3DS games are not compatible with the regular DS if I'm not mistaken.

Probably comes back to leave messages for Desmond (eagle vision glyphs). Ezio got clued in about 'someone' else by Minerva so he may have learned more about the future protagonists as time passed.

I'm sure if it's really important they'll add it to AC3, or whatever game comes out next on the consoles

It's simple, he went back to write 1419, 1420 and 1421 on the walls in the sanctuary, only thing wrong is that ezio wears altair's armour. Check it out

No that was subject 16 that wrote that on the walls. And i think the devs just assumed that we would have unlocked Altair's armor in AC 2.

Riddle me this:

How does Ezio get back into the sanctuary?

As far as we know the bookcase is sealed off by Ezio himself, and he purposely destroys all the bridges in the underground tunnels, while escaping.

The only way back inside was the technique Desmond and Lucy used, ie. throwing her across a chasm.

No.. It couldn`t of been subject 16 because you know he was spending all his time at Abstergo in the animus and then killed himself.

Maybe he is trying to find the Shroud so he can bring Cristina back to life?

1. I'm confused as to why he was wearing Altair's armor, as well. It's implied, by Desmond, that he looked much older and that he must have come back way after the villa attack.

2. I really don't think 16 did that... Yeah, he leaves glyphs and whatnot, but inside the Animus, not out of the Animus (other than AC1). Not saying it's not plausible, but I just really doubt that he did it. IMO, Ezio came back and left it, it's heavily implied that he came back and it really only makes sense that he would have left the clue when he did... Why he's wearing Altair's armor, I don't know. It was supposedly lost in the Villa attack and Desmond's vision of Ezio coming back is stated to be way after then... confusing, I know, but ain't that the way UBI likes to do it??? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
