I am/was an RC plane guy. This 257" B36 will have to be the record, yes?
Both of those models are extraordinary.

This has to be the coolest R/C model I've ever seen.

Trubine powered Mi-24.

The B-36 and Su-27 are nice...

But that Mi-24 is the Bees Knees. Some parts of that vid it almost seemed as if you were watching the real thing.

Just got to the end of the Su27 site. That was a lot of pages and photos to go through.
Saw the Maiden Flight movie. It's hard to believe that after all of the testing that the landing great failed to come down. I was glad to see that he was able to make a good "crash landing" with it. Of course, as chance (Murphy) would have it the landing gear would come down after the first bounce.

Whilst the guy who built that su27 certainly has some awesome modelling skills, he was a fool for retracting the undercarriage on the first flight. The left undercarriage failed to deploy and nearly ended up in epic failiure.

You just don't do that, who knows what parts are going to get rattled loose when it flies. You fly it, land the thing then test the undercarriage and repeat as many times until your sure there are no underlying problems with the setup.
