I tried to pay and dowload the game from Ubisoft.com, but it told me that my country was restricted.. Then I read on other forums that if you live in europe, the Pay and dowload method isnt available..
What the hell is this BS? Do you want people in europe to use piracy?
And game companies wonder why there is so much piracy....

If you're buying via http://shop.ubi.com/default.asp then Norway is on the list of supported regions, so I am unsure exactly why you would not be able to Pay and Download Far Cry 2.
Please check with Ubisoft Support (http://www.ubireg.com/uk/) first of all and we can go from there to try and help you.

Well yes and no, If you use a proxy address you can download now from Direct2Drive. This is what I did and its currently downloading now. I personally used a Mexican proxy and said I lived in Beverley Hills http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif 90210 for zip code.

Well, the Euro release is set for 24th, so you won't be able to download in your region (Norway) until that date.

Well, if thats the case, the game companies is ****ting on their leggs by releasing pay and download in one region and not in another.
People in EU can just download the US version pirated. Piracy rules in EU is almost equal to nothing compared to the US. Guess alot of money is going down the drain for you, UBIsoft.

Many companies have various release dates for various regions, usually to comply with rules each region may have for software launches.
It also makes sense to stagger the release to prevent the download servers dying due to overloading/excessive users downloads. So it is also done to make sure people can download their game at an acceptable rate (ISP Dependant)
I am sorry to hear that your first experience with Far Cry 2 has been a poor one.
Also, please do not advocate software piracy on these forums.

Its not Ubisofts fault about Euro release dates, I think these are set by the industry, i.e. Europe has always been a thursday? and the UK always a friday? At least I think thats right. Anyway only ****s priate software and games
