Hey C.

i have downloaded all the new patches and everything is going well on my PC, i love this game i donâ´t know about you... and it bugs me that i am not able to promote my boys on the boat. The game tells me that i have to "finish a petrol first" and the seamen is above his eksperiance level... why is that and can you help me... i have tried everything. best regards A.

Well, whywhywhy, the reason is probably that you haven't _earned_ any promotions yet. This takes time and renown. Keep at it, and in time you will have earned a promotion for your crew. I've played from 1939 to late -41, and have maybe gotten 4-5 promotions (not sure about the number, but not many anyway). They don't come as often as medals and qualifications.

There is also a blue line across the seamen and I am doing well at see... The seamen is ready to be promotet but there is no number in the promotionbox... I have over 200t and all is well but i still canâ´t promote my boys... I am going crazy becuse this is the only thing that is missing in the game... and I think it is vital to the moral of the crew.

Ok, I'm not sure how promotions work - how you earn them exactly. It sounds like 200 tons should do it (as long as it's not NEUTRAL tonnage). How much renown have you accumulated?

I also forgot to say that most of my crew have exceeded their experience-limits (42/20 etc), but you don't get promotions for them automatically. That's my experience so far anyway.

This thread (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2881085392/m/6581087203/r/8021008203#8021008203) says that a minimum of 500 renown per patrol is needed for a promotion. That makes some sense to me.
