Is there a way to command your squadmates without issuing the "clear" command? For example, "open & clear" - "clear" = the plain ol' "open".

Dude, I think we'll be lucky to be able to command them to follow us. Let me give you the typical response to your question: Your $400 console (with 3 cpu's) doesn't have the same capacity as a $600 PC, so, it cannot handle changing the command from two words to one.
The next version will probably resort to grunts and moans to save memory.

I like pc gamer fanatics. They are easily offended because I pay $460 on a 360 and a copy of Rainbow Six: Vegas and they pay god knows how much to update their pc. Sorry about your luck.
