Incorrect directional sound?

Hi guys, really liking the game so far, but I've just come across a very annoying sound problem.

I play with a pair of Sennheiser Headphones, they block out unnecessary background noise and the sound quality is excellent. That's why I use them.

However on Splinter Cell Conviction I have come across a problem where the sound from the Left is coming out of the Right speaker. And the sound from the Right is coming from the Left speaker.
I have tried to fix it from the Audio settings in the game and the settings on the Xbox but to no avail.
I haven't had this problem with any other game. So please, can anyone help?

Maybe you have your headphones on backwards? lol

Honestly, I'm not quite sure, I was going to suggest to choose the other audio option from the game's settings, but you obviously already did that. Have you tried changing the audio on your TV? Maybe its the way your audio is set up through your TV. Other than that, I'm not to sure sorry.

I get the same thing on battlefield BC2, ill probs get it on SC aswell. I have my xbox on my pc monitor^

Thanks for your help T9X. I tried changing the TV settings but it didn't work.
